ICELANDIC League Cup is with us action again today and we reckon the bookies may have lost their marbles bringing this game in-play.

As with Monday's match this game sees not one, but two teams from the lower tiers of Icelandic football going head to head in the group stages and this one should see goals galore.

BERSERKIR v STAL-ULFUR, WEDNESDAY, 8.30PM (Bet365 & William Hill)

This match sees two sides from the real depths of despair of the Icelandic leagues go head to head and we're stunned the bookies are even contemplating this one. Both sides played in the same league last season in what was the 4th tier, but both now find themselves in the 5th tier due to the restructuring of the game over there.

When they met last season Berserkir won their home fixture, at the same venue as today's game, 7-3. The reverse fixture saw a 3-3 draw being played out. Berserkir finished the season in 4th place having scored 47 goals and conceded 33 in 14 matches. Stal-Ulfur on the other hand finished second bottom of the eight team league scoring 20 and shipping 59, leaving both sides with an average of just under 6 goals per game. Some of Stal's results last season saw them beaten 10-1, 9-1, 9-0 and 6-1, while Berserkir won some of theirs 10-0, 6-1 and 5-1.

The two teams competed in seperate sections of the League Cup at this stage last season with Berserkir winning their group scoring an amazing 23 goals in the process and conceding 8 in their FOUR matches. Their results saw them win 11-1, 6-3, 3-1 and draw 3-3. Stal-Ulfur meanwhile managed to score 15 goals in their 4 matches and lost 11, again averaging 6 goals a game.

Team news at this level of football is a struggle so this recommendation is purely stats driven. As you can see by the stats laid out above these teams quite clearly love a goalfest and this game should be no different from last season's stats. Berserkir have had some friendly action lately and the results have been a 6-4 loss and a 5-2 win so nothing much seems to have changed from their point of view.

If you want an idea of the standard we're betting on here then take a look at Stal-Ulfur's Top 10 goals from last season

On the over 4 4.5 goal line. How does this work then? Over 4 and 4.5 goal line??

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Madi, over 4.5 is the recommendation. But you can also do over 4, 4.5 which can void half the bet.

  2. robbie d 9 years ago

Are all four bets available only in play? Or should the first two be available now? Bet365 don’t seem to be offering the first two currently.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Robbie d, you’ll need to keep an eye on it and take what’s available.

  3. robbie d 9 years ago

    Will do. Thanks.

  4. Madi 9 years ago

Thanks. The over 4.5 isn’t up yet on bet365 probably be up in-play hence me taking the over 4 4.5 goal line now

  5. Andy G 9 years ago

What’s the difference between over 4 and over 4.5 goals?

  6. Madi 9 years ago

As mr fixit was saying over 4 and over 4.5 if its just 4 goals then then you win half and half the bet is void and if there’s 5 or more goals then you win both parts of the bet.

  7. Andy G 9 years ago

Thank you I’ve allways wondered about that. Cheers Madi

  8. Andy G 9 years ago

Over 4.5 goals at 4/5 is what in on. Couldn’t see team goals

  9. Gaz 9 years ago

Over 5.5 all available now at EVS. Any thoughts anyone? Goal after 8 mins and missed it!

  10. jwood 9 years ago

13/10 Home win 11/2 ht home win dont look bad prices home team was 3/10 beefore goin one down

  11. Charlie 9 years ago

If bet365 is to be believed, just one shot in the first half hour! 0-1 mind you.

  12. bounty punter 9 years ago

Bet365s stat counter isn’t working right for this Charlie.. looking grim this I’m afraid lads, home side don’t appear to have turned up.

  13. Charlie 9 years ago

Yep, I thought as much about Bet365.

Lets no panic just yet though. Still 50 mins to play.

  14. bounty punter 9 years ago

1-1, void at least on the HT bet!

  15. Charlie 9 years ago

    Get in. 1-1.

  16. Rick 9 years ago

Phew for the first half bet but we’ll be sweating on the second half no doubt!

  17. bounty punter 9 years ago

1-1 HT. Disappointing that and worrying how level this game seems given how poor Stal were last season. Not giving up hope though as last game was 2-1 at HT and finished 7-3

  18. Charlie 9 years ago

Is that a common trend BP? Goals in the second half? Just wondering about fitness levels etc… more prone to mistakes late in the game.

Or is that just a tired ol cliche?

  19. bounty punter 9 years ago

From what I’ve seen of this level there does tend to be more goals as the game goes on. They’ll be blowing out their arses come 75th minute this lot..

  20. Charlie 9 years ago

BTW BP, what have you done to me? CL on the TV and I’m reduced to watch a stats stream that isn’t updating of an Icelandic League Cup match!

    FFS!

  21. Charlie 9 years ago

Yeah, watching that video it looks like they’ll be aiming to get down the Dog N Duck before closing time.

  22. jwood 9 years ago

    2-1

  23. Madi 9 years ago

    Looking good

  24. Rick 9 years ago

    One more goal please!

  25. Charlie 9 years ago

3-1. Things looking up now BP

  26. robbie d 9 years ago

3-1. Just one more goal needed for the over 4.5

  27. Madi 9 years ago

Good shout once again, 4 out of 4!

  28. John Connor 9 years ago

Amazing BP !!! thanks again :)

  29. jwood 9 years ago

    4-1

  30. Charlie 9 years ago

Well done again BP. Top tipping.

I got on the home side when 0-1 down too. And had a nibble at over 5.5 goals so still would like another goal.

I presume the Berserkir total goals never appeared in-play? I didn’t see it.

  31. MUZZA 9 years ago

    UNBELIEVABLE!!!

  32. Rick 9 years ago

Think I need to stop wasting my cash on stupid bets and wait for these tips :D

  33. Daryl Cruickshank 9 years ago

    Nice one BP. Cheers

  34. Madi 9 years ago

I’ve only using small stakes so far, might go big (for me anyway!) on the next one

    Top work fella!

  35. Badham 9 years ago

This guy is good. I keep missing him. Mr fixit you need an alert email or something haha

    • admin 9 years ago

Its something we’ll look into Badham.

In the meantime if you follow @mrfixitstips on twitter the site automatically posts a tweet every time there’s a new article.

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Badham, Bounty Punter did post earlier saying to watch out for his tips later and of course you have Twitter alerts too. But almost always Bounty Punters tips will go up no more than a couple of hours before kick-off to make sure markets are maintained.

  43. Dave 9 years ago

Mr f any response to my cash out query? Before I contact ibas? Unless you know any one at wh that could help?

    • Mr Fixit 9 years ago

Dave, I’ve put the query to them and waiting for an answer, probably hear by the end of the week. I’ll ask Owen Scott to see if he knows the score. But remember IBAS will only consider your claim if rules have been bent.

  44. Dave 9 years ago

Thanks mr f, I’m only going to contact them once you let me know. I’m sure the t n c s will get them out of it but for them to tell me you can’t cash in live in play bets when I’ve done it before is bit odd. I don’t know why that option wasn’t there and it’s made me think twice about my betting strategy, I placed bet on messi to score hatrick in play and even that had the cash out option. Anyway thanks for your input
