AFTER today's success with the minnows of the Aussie lower leagues we're looking closer to home today for a bit of action and will be focusing on Hungary.
We paid close attention to the friendly fixtures that a lot of the European countries had during the winter break and one side who stood out like a sore thumb was Hungarian NB1 side Videoton.
Currently sitting 4th in Hungary's top flight, Videoton were absolutely smashing the goals in during the winter break with one friendly match even finishing 17-0. Scoring goals from all over the park, the side from the city of Székesfehérvár appointed former Porto coach Jose Gomes as manager in early January and he seems to have brought a whole new lease of life to this club.
On Saturday at 3pm, Videoton face second bottom side Egri on the back of knocking current NB1 champions Debrecen out of the league cup with a 1-0 aggregate victory. This was after travelling to Budapest and running away with a 4-0 win over Honved to overtake them in the league table, no mean feat in itself that.
Egri, who are currently playing their games elsewhere due to their stadium being redeveloped, had a decent 3-3 draw with current league leaders Gyor Eto during the week to record an amazing 7-4 aggregate win and take themselves through to the league cup semi-finals alongside Videoton. Their first league game back after the break saw them beaten 1-0 at home by mid-table Diosgyori.
Videoton just seem like a different team to what they were before Gomes took charge and he will be sending his team out to make sure of gaining the points here and this side have proven recently they don't let up even if they are commanding the game.
Bet365 have 50 markets available on this game and seem to still be quite generous when it comes to the Hungarian matches. With the possibility of both sides getting in on the goal action here we like the look of the half-time goals, full-time goals and Videoton Team Goals markets.

Today I’m going for Aalborg on asian -0.25 and the only reason for the handicap are the fact that Esbjerg haven’t lost to Aalborg the last 10 times they’ve played. A trend I’m betting on will break today.
Esbjerg have won only 1 out of 11 away games and scored only 6 goals on the road but more importantly for the promoted team from Jylland (and this investment) they are without Hans Henrik Andreasen and Jonas Knudsen. I’m sure those 2 very important players will be missed against Aalborg who are 5-2-3 at home.

I also played it safe and went Ross County +1.5. Didn’t look so good at 0-2 but boy did they produce an amazing comeback. All I need is a Lee Purdy stoppage win and I’ll end the day in profit which seemed impossible this afternoon!
