THERE'S a couple of interesting cup games on Friday in countries that are more geared up for the kind of weather that we're being struck with right now.
The Icelandic League Cup has a few fixtures on tonight as they continue through the group stages of this tournament. Meanwhile, the Finnish Cup has just got going with their 4th round matches with an interesting one available to have a punt on today.
FINNISH CUP
Harma Hameenlinna v FC Jazz, Friday 6pm, (Bet365 in-play)
This tie sees a battle between two sides who both play in the third tier of Finnish football. FC Jazz finished last season 2nd top of the Kakkonen Lokho Lansi, narrowly missing out on promotion, while Harma placed in 7th, just one place off the relegation play-offs. The H2H between the two sides was relatively poor in terms of goals with FC Jazz winning both matches 2-0 but this cup-tie looks as though it might buck that trend.
Harma are struggling with injuries and illness at the minute and scraped through the last round of the cup with a 3-2 win away to a 5th tier side. They also played a friendly last week against second tier FC Vikingiit where they were trounced 8-1 in a match that saw Vikingiit have over 35 shots at goal before the referee blew up in the 83rd minute to save them further embarrassment.
Harma currently have six players out injured or ill. Their coach has admitted that he will be fielding a similar side today as the Vikingiit friendly, one that ‘has never played together' and his ‘expectations are not high'.
FC Jazz have had a decent pre-season and have been managing to find the net against the weaker opposition with 5-1 & 6-1 victories under their belts. They progressed to this stage of the Cup with a 3-0 win, again over 5th tier opposition and appear well up for today's task. With the draw already having been made for the 5th round and the chance of facing lowly opposition once again FC Jazz will be right up for this against what appears a dishevelled outfit in Harma.

ICELANDIC LEAGUE CUP
KR v KF, Friday 8pm, (Bet365 in-play)
KR Reykjavik come up against bottom of the group KF Fjallabyggd tonight in this League Cup competition.
KR have been on fire lately and have won their last five matches including an 8-0 demolition of Thor last weekend in this tournament which saw them 6-0 up at half-time before taking the foot off the gas. With it being International weekend, KR do have a couple of players away on duty with the Icelandic U21s but still look to be sending out a relatively strong side to attempt to make it six wins on the bounce tonight.
KF meanwhile have been struggling in this tourney and sit rock bottom of the group. They've conceded 12 goals in three matches, but have still managed to bag a few themselves with a 3-3 draw and 4-2 & 5-0 defeats recorded. KF also played a recent friendly match against Thor, and lost that one 2-0 so there's is without a doubt a bit of a gulf here.

Our old friends Berserkir are also in League Cup action tonight at 8pm when they travel to take on Ellidi. The home side really are an unknown quantity here and have only just joined the league ranks proper with the restructuring of the Icelandic game. Ellidi were beaten 2-0 by 3rd tier IH in the first match of their section, which on paper looks decent but IH played with 10 men from 60mins after seeing red. Not enough to go on here to recommend anything but worth keeping an eye on this game in-play…

Got Evens on 3 Jazz goals, 11/4 on 4 Jazz goals and 11/10 on 4 total goals in the game. Also had the 1.0,1.5 HT and over 1.5 HT.

Fingers crossed that we see some goals during the last 25 mins!

Hi BP any oz specials for us this week? Was great to wake up to a healthy balance after sorrento last week TY !!
Well bit of a mixed bag with this lot.
FC Jazz produced the goodies in magnificent style with a 7-0 win against Harma. How they only managed one in the first half is beyond me with the total dominance that they had but the 2.5 & 3.5 TGs made up for that.
KR were very disappointing in only winning 3-0 at KF. Again they totally dominated this match but just couldn’t find the net, very poor stuff from their strikers there.
Our friends Berserkir were at it once again and I’ll be keeping a close eye for matches in this group appearing as it looks as though every game could have a chance of ending 4-5 like this one did. Full Team Goals & Match Goals spreads offered on this one too, which was astonishing from bet365.
Nothing for Saturday as not had the time to study up but should hopefully have a gem or two tomorrow.
