SATURDAY morning sees the Aussie action return and here's some pointers to some of the games that should see goals galore.

The Western Premier League returns this week and this is one where we'll be finding plenty of action as the season progresses. We also have a few tasty looking games in the Brisbane Premier and Queensland Premier that could boost the weekend banks nice and early.

BRISBANE PREMIER LEAGUE

IPSWICH KNIGHTS v PENINSULA POWER , Saturday, 9am

Peninsula Power started off the season with a 5-1 victory at home to North Star. Power were 4-0 up by half-time and undoubtedly took the foot off the gas in this one as with a scoreline like that you would've been expecting that game to hit double figures. North Star are a poor side but the opposition for today are just as weak.

Ipswich Knights started the season with a 3-2 win away to Logan Lighting but you can't read too much into this as Logan were a second tier side last season, as were Knights and they only find themselves in top tier due to the restructuring that has gone on in Brisbane.

Power should put this lot to the sword without much fuss here and with Ipswich having conceded 8 goals twice in pre-season friendlies this game could see a big scoreline. May even look at Power Team Goals if offered in-play here and there's value in it.

EASTERN SUBURBS v UNIVERSITY OF QUEENSLAND, Saturday, 9am

Eastern Suburbs started the season with an astonishing 5-0 win away at last season's beaten Grand Finalists Rochedale Rovers. Easts had a decent pre-season but no-one would've seen that result coming.

Uni started the season in quite the opposite fashion, going down 5-0 to Capabala Bulldogs, a side who were beaten 6-3 by Brisbane Wolves on Friday . The H2H between these two is nothing special, but Easts look strong this year while Uni will struggle against the better sides, especially away from home.

QUEENSLAND PREMIER LEAGUE

BRISBANE CITY v BRISBANE STRIKERS, Saturday, 9.30am
City opened their season by going down 6-2 to local rivals Brisbane Olympic in this newly formed league in a match we tipped as our first bet on MrFixitsTips. City are a young side and should struggle badly here against Strikers who opened their account with a 2-1 win away to Redlands and who beat Olympic during the pre-season Silver Boot tournament. Strikers are a big price at 1/2 with Bet365 and the 7/5 for HT/FT is tempting.

WESTERN AUSTRALIA PREMIER LEAGUE

SORRENTO v NTC WEST, Saturday, 8am
Sorrento won the WPL Grand Final last season and face up to bottom side NTC, which is a team made up of player registered with the National Training Centre in that region. NTC sides are generally youngsters and the West side struggled badly last season, including being beaten 8-0 by Sorrento in the second game of the season.

Sorrento didn't have the greatest pre-season but won the Charity Shield match 4-2 the other week and look to have refound a bit of form in front of goal just in time for this match, the opening game of the league season. NTC are a bit of the unknown but this should be one-way traffic. Over 4.5 on the goal line is currently 4/5 and should stroll home here.

RECOMMENDATIONS (Bet365)

Ipswich v Power… Over 1.5,2HT
Easts v Uni… Over 1.5HT
2.28/1 double (both on the FIRST HALF GOAL LINE market)

Add in Brisbane City v Brisbane Strikers… Over 3.5FT goal line
4/1 treble

Allen, if you search the markets on Bet365 you’ll find those bets. For the first two, you need to go into the half markets.

  4. Andy G 11 years ago

I’m on B.P!! again :) hopefully continue your success and I can pack work in soon. Thanks for posting your tips. Went for your treble at 4/1 and the 4 fold at 8/1.

  5. bounty punter 11 years ago

Allen, both the Ipswich game and the Easts game are on the first half goal line. 1.5,2HT is for over 1.5,2 goals to be scored first half. If there’s 2 goals it’s a half win/half void, 3 goals both are winners.

  6. Arnie 11 years ago

just to be clear , did any one find over 1.5 goals for the 2nd half??? for any of the HT games

  7. bounty punter 11 years ago

It’s not for the 2nd half Arnie. It is the first half goal line.. 1.5,2

  8. Arnie 11 years ago

    Got it Allen, cheers

  9. Striker 11 years ago

I’ve gone for the over 1.5’s HT double at 2.28/1

  10. David M 11 years ago

Cant see thses games on William Hill or Id be on it

  11. Greg Browning 11 years ago

Will speak on behalf of the man at the helm. . . . if you want to get involved in these bets you need to open a Bet365 account! They have betting on all the lower league leagues that you won’t find on other sites!

  12. John 11 years ago

I can find these on the paddy power site so hopefully i’ll get a chance to have a pop at them

  13. admin 11 years ago

Guys, Greg is right. If you want to get involved in BP’s tips it looks like Bet365 is the only way to go.

They seem to be the only bookie consistently offering odds in the markets he operates.

They’re also the only bookie likely to go in-play, when more markets become available.

If opening a Bet365 account help the site out by clicking one of our Bet365 links; Bet365

    Thanks Admin.

Anyone looking for the in play markets.

SORRENTO v NTC WEST has just kicked off @ 0700, not 0800

  17. Tickety 11 years ago

Danny which league are these games in please?

    • Danny 11 years ago

Tickety they are the West Australian Premier league games mate but they all started at 3.00 bar bunbury they cant really be treated as home and away games as such with them all being with all playing in such close proximity just checking scores with the treble and its doing not bad but will be tuning into the Sydney Fc game soon to see if my bet365 Single is a winner or not

  18. Greg Browning 11 years ago

Had a look to see what other teams where playing! Can across west Sydney away to Melbern Heart! Sydney going great guns so while Melbournw struggling near the bottom! Sydney were 1/1 to score two or more which is a great price! 2-1 up after 60 mins! These Australian matches look like there’s real opportunity to start Saturday with a bang!

Gone for B/H’s treble although I’ve just taken Stikers to win!

Sorrento up 3-0 at half time :)

  19. Rick 11 years ago

Had a reasonable bet on Sorrento game at 4.5,5 goals so I need 6 to win (was all that Bet365 offered last night). Wake up to see Sorrento 3-0 in 30 minutes and now just made it 5-0 :)

    • Rick 11 years ago

Actually think I am wrong and the bet is already in!

  20. Andy G 11 years ago

Nice one B.P first bet up :)

  21. Greg Browning 11 years ago

Sydney are playing Melbourne victory at 08.45

Although 10 points behind the visitors in the league, they are pretty formidable at home having won their last 6 and beat leaders Central coast Mariners last week

Victory’s away form Isn’t great (1 win in 5) + Del Perio is still pulling the strings for Sydney, haha!

Taking Sydney to win at 13/10 with bet365

There should be goals in this game although 1/2 for over 2.5 is a bit short!

  22. John Connor 11 years ago

    SORRENTO 7 v NTC WEST 0

Thanks again BP :) some nice in play bets as well.

  23. Danny 11 years ago

thank god Inglewood scored Wouldn’t have been amused in the slightest tipping a 24/1 treble and having nada onit

  24. weordie 11 years ago

Good luck guys, I’m on these bets so sorry in advance. Cheers BP, love your tips so far

  25. weordie 11 years ago

my single of Sydeny olympic game over 2.5 goals is up at least

  26. weordie 11 years ago

    Sydney sorry

  27. Rick 11 years ago

The 1.5 HT for the 2 Queensland games looks like it won’t happen now unfortunately. Here’s hoping a few goals rain down in the second half!

  28. Rick 11 years ago

Wow, City are 2-0 up against the Strikers, that’s a surprise! Might be worth getting on Strikers at 4/1 ;)

  29. Madi 11 years ago

Two of the games not looking too good right now

  30. weordie 11 years ago

ahh well BP, cheers anyway, you’ve supplied me with some good tips so far, can’t win them all. Looking forward to the next one

  31. Rick 11 years ago

Took a bit of a hit on these games but Sorrento softened the blow a bit. If Strikers come back and win, I might break even!
As Weordie said, you can’t win all the time, otherwise you would be a millionaire, sunning yourself somewhere and not trying to help us punters win :D

  32. Elliott 11 years ago

    2-3 Strikers now… :-)

  33. Titou 11 years ago

new i jumped on you’re tips to late

  34. Stephen Miller 11 years ago

got Brisbane strikers at 11/4 when 2-1down 10 double with Bolton 15/8 107.81

  35. Danny 11 years ago

    Sundays early morning Aleague offering

Central Coast have been of form and I expect them to get back onit against a rather inconsistent Roar side on the road

A fancy ma boys Perth Glory to do the business against new Zealanders Wellington at home infront of a vocal shed end Perth have won there last 2 at home 2-1 against Central Coast and Sydney Fc they will be looking to break into the play of positions
    NO GUTS NO GLORY

    Prediction

    CentralCoast – Perth Glory double @ 2/1

Aologies for this lads, very poor stuff going on in the BPL today. Shots galore in Peninsula game first half but they couldn’t put them away but Eastern Suburbs were just rank rotten today.

Sorrento produced the goodies against what looks like another very poor NTC side, but sadly this is probably the last we’ll see of them this season.

Brizzy Strikers managed the win in another goalfest in the QPL, and this looks like the league for goals this season.

Again, apologies, a very poor morning here at BP Towers.

    • Rick 11 years ago

      Gizza money back :D
Just messing BP. Logic, research and stats don’t always fly during matches, otherwise bookies would be out of business!
We’ll beat them next them ;)

    • Mr Fixit 11 years ago

Bounty Punter, good effort again. Look forward to the next tip. Right, I’m off to Glenafton v Bankies, will pick you up on the way past if you want. Good luck with all bets today everyone.

  37. Danny 11 years ago

nothing 2 apologize for BP all you can do is give your reasoning behind tips if they win great if they lose shit happens try again next time

as for poor stuff a few times ive had a gander at the WA Premier league whilst oot and aboot on a Saturday afternoon and the standard is always very poor indeed hence the amount of goals

  38. flyboivince 11 years ago

  39. flyboivince 11 years ago
