BAYERN MUNICH won't be winter champions heading into the Bundesliga break and festive fury will erupt if they drop any more points in their next two games.
After winning the last six titles, Bayern have struggled under new coach Niko Kovac and sit just third in the table, nine points behind impressive frontrunners Borussia Dortmund.
Their fans won't be panicking yet and rightly so when Kovac's side boasts talents such as Robert Lewandowski, Franck Ribery, Arjen Robben and James Rodriguez.
But this clash with RB Leipzig is another potential banana skin before Bayern finish off ahead of the winter break with a trip to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Their league form has picked up of late, winning three in a row, and the bookies think Bayern Munich will have too much firepower for Leipzig.
888 Sport make them 7/20 favourites with RB Leipzig 7/1 outsiders and the draw 4/1.
Considering Leipzig can jump above Bayern with a win, those odds seem a little generous but I still think Kovac's side will do enough to get three points.
Leipzig have lost their last four games on the road in all competitions, scoring just once in the process, so it may pay to back Bayern to win with a clean sheet which is a decent 7/4 with 888 Sport. Betting on the home side to win both halves also looks a good option at 21/10.
You can usually count on goals when these two sides meet, the highlight being a thrilling 5-4 win for Bayern back in 2017. But the odds on total match goals are pretty poor, with 888 Sport offering just 27/25 on over 3.5 strikes.
It may be better to dabble in the goalscorer markets, where Lewandowski is the hot favourite at 49/20 to break the deadlock and 11/20 for anytime scorer with 888 Sport.
Winger Serge Gnabry offers better value after netting last time out in the 4-0 win over Hannover. The former Arsenal kid is 23/4 to open the scoring and a tempting 33/20 for anytime scorer.
