Tannadice, Saturday, 12.45pm, live on Sky Sports 3

CELTIC should be buzzing for the lunchtime visit to Dundee United.

It's job done for Neil Lennon's men who have battled through six Champions League qualifiers that have taken them from hell (Kazakhstan) and back.

With glamour ties against Barcelona, AC Milan and Ajax to follow, the Hoops can now relax and get on with sticking some points in the bag before dining out at Europe's top table.

Only fatigue and possible knocks to key players will hold Lennon's men back at Tannadice on Saturday and while I expect them to win at a best 8-13 with Betfred, Coral and Ladbrokes, a safer punt could be to go for goals.

United have hit seven in two outings but conceding two at Dumbarton in their midweek League Cup win gives cause for concern.

Five meetings produced 27 goals last season and over 3.5 today pays 7-4 at BetVictor.

In midweek I correctly tipped Kris Commons to score first at 11-2. Today I'm taking a chance on defender Mikael Lustig who continues to pose a threat in the opposition box.

The Swede came close to netting against Karagandy in midweek and is worth a look at 9-1 with Betfred to net at anytime. He is 25-1 (various) to break the deadlock.

Commons and Anthony Stokes have both scored in the last three meetings between these sides. A repeat of that pays 16-5 at William Hill.

Recommended Bets

Over 3.5 goals
(7-4, BetVictor)

Lustig to score
(9-1, Betfred)

mr fixit may I suggest you start charging a ten pound a year subscription fee per annum. I think the majority of folks would be happy to pay a small fee to access a plethora of football knowledge that is readily available on this site. Secondly, maybe mrs fixit would enjoy an all expenses weekend in new York wi her pals rather than frettin aboot what kind o state yir gonnae be in ,if the bankies get pumped at kilbowie???

stuart, she is going to New York with her pals strangely enough but she can pay for it herself. To be honest we don’t want to charge and we’d only do it if we had to cover big expenses, like for example bringing other tipsters or celebrities to the table. We’re considering putting a newsletter out again as we did before and making a very small charge to cover its production.

could never swap a dens park season ticket after tonight’s result in the big game. had a twenty pound double on cauld pehs after 20 mins and bomber broon commenting on something totally unconnected with Dundee football club in tomorrows papers.

It will be a completely different Utd team tomorrow. We won’t be playing 3 at the back for starters. Big plus having Gunning back tomorrow.

Paul Lustig is the man I’ve been backing for a while now and it’s only a matter of time before he scores again. He won me £2k a few weeks ago and I’m sure he will win me plenty more this season.

Hey Paul, a wee cheeky £5 on Lustig to score in first 10 mins @ 100/1 with hills.

    Mr F & All,

Celtic have scored 7 in the last 2 trips to Tannadice winning
4.0 on the last day last season with
Commons scoring the 1st early on and then
Tony Stokes also hitting the back of met late on.

A month prior the exact same happened in a 3:3 draw.
