WAYNE ROONEY is 7-4 to win the goal of the season award for his stunning effort against Man City last night.

Rooney's sensational scissors kick kept Man United in control at the top and sealed a 2-1 win at Old Trafford.

Ladbrokes were among those impressed and have immediately made him favourite for the award voted by the Match of the Day panel.
