DUMBARTON are a side whose results I always watch closely.
Being a Clydebank it comes with territory. What I've noticed recently is their incredible lack of consistency – but on their day they should be too strong for Peterhead.
The Sons ended a decent run by being routed 6-0 at Brechin but bounced back with 2-2 draws against Stenny and Alloa. Alan Adamson's men certainly don't lack goals and although they failed to hit the target against top two Livi and Brechin they have netted 11 in four games against sides further down the table.
Peterhead come into that category and John Sheran's side are now as low as they can go and cut adrift at the foot.
Dumbarton got their season up and running with back-to-back wins against the Blue Toon in February and will be confident of a third victory on the bounce against the Highlanders.
Peterhead haven't won since the end of January – 14 games ago – have conceded nine in their last two and have no away wins this season.
That makes Dumbarton look outstanding value at a best 1-1 with bet365, Stan James and Skybet.
