Lazio to Score 2+
Two sides who have made contrasting starts to their Serie A season meet at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris on Wednesday, as Sampdoria play host to Lazio.
Sampdoria suffered a 0-2 defeat at home to Atalanta on the opening day of the season and whilst they drew 0-0 with Juve on matchday two, they were thumped 4-0 at Salernitana last time out.
Lazio began their Serie A campaign with a 2-1 victory over Bologna and whilst they were held to a goalless draw at Torino, the Biancocelesti were impressive in a 3-1 victory over Inter last Friday.
Maurizio Sarri’s visitors have lost just one of their last nine Serie A fixtures on the road, scoring on multiple occasions in six of those and look a decent bet to bag a brace against a struggling Sampdoria side at Marassi.
Monaco to Score 2+
Monaco will look to kickstart their Ligue 1 season, as they play host to Troyes at the Stade Louis Il today.
After winning away at Strasbourg and drawing at home to Rennes, Monaco were then thumped 1-4 at home to Lens, but Philippe Clement’s side put in an impressive performance on Sunday to draw 1-1 away to champions PSG.
Troyes began their league campaign with consecutive defeats against Montpellier, Toulouse and Lyon, but ESTAC finally secured their first points of the season at the weekend with a 3-1 success over Angers.
The Monégasques have lost just two of their last 20 on home turf and should have too much firepower for a Troyes defence that’s conceded 11 goals in their opening four matches.
Lens to Score 2+
Two sides who remain unbeaten in Ligue 1 meet at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis this evening, as Lens play host to Lorient.
After collecting four points from their opening two fixtures against Brest and Ajaccio, Franck Haise’s hosts then won away at Monaco and at home to Rennes to take them up to third in the table and off top-spot only on goal difference.
Lorient began their season with an impressive 0-1 away at Rennes and whilst they drew at newly-promoted Toulouse, Régis Le Bris visitors got back to winning ways last time out with a 2-1 win over Clermont.
Lens have scored nine goals in their opening four Ligue 1 fixtures this season and I expect the in-form hosts to add to that tally in front of their own supporters this evening.
Olympique de Marseille to Score 2+
Marseille will look to keep up their strong start to the Ligue 1 season, as they welcome Clermont to the Stade Vélodrome this evening.
After wins at home to Reims and Nantes either side of a draw away at Brest, Igor Tudor’s side travelled to near-neighbours Nice on Sunday and won 0-3 in what was a dominant performance.
After losing 0-5 at home to champions PSG on the opening day of the season, Pascal Gastien’s visitors then won their next two away at Reims and at home to Nice, but Les Lanciers were defeated 2-1 at Lorient at the weekend.
OM have banged in 10 goals already this season and I like the look of them to score at least twice against a Clermont defence that’s conceded on multiple occasions in three of their opening four Ligue 1 fixtures.
