Atletico Madrid to Score 2+
Atletico will look to jump back into the top-four in La Liga, as they host bottom-side Levante at the Wanda Metropolitano.
Diego Simeone’s side bounced back from their 4-2 defeat at the Nou Camp, by winning 4-3 at home to Getafe, meaning they’ve now won five of their last six La Liga matches at home.
Levante, on the other hand, lost 2-4 at home to Real Betis, meaning The Frogs have now lost six of their last seven league matches.
Los Colchoneros have now scored 13 goals in their last five La Liga matches, scoring at least twice in each of them and I’m backing them to score another brace against a Levante with the worst defensive record in the Spanish top-flight.
Peterborough United vs Reading – Over 2.5 Goals
Two sides struggling in the Championship meet at London Road, as 22nd-placed Peterborough United host a Reading side one place and two points above them.
Darren Ferguson’s hosts come into this collecting just one point from their last seven matches, whilst the Royals have lost seven on-the-bounce.
These two sides both have the worst defensive record in the Championship, with both of them conceding 60 goals.
The reverse fixture between these two saw four goals and given how poor both are defensively and their need for points, I think we’ll see goals here and I’m happy to have a play on over 2.5 goals.
Bayern Munich to Score 2+
Bayern Munich return to Champions League action, as they make the short trip to Austria to take on RB Salzburg at Red Bull Arena.
Julian Nagelsmann’s side cruised through their group, winning all six of their matches, scoring 22 goals.
Matthias Jaissle’s side finished second in their group, collecting 10 points, but managed only one clean sheet in their matches against Sevilla, Wolfsburg and Lille.
Bayern have already banged in 92 goals in league and Europe this season and they should manage to find the back of the net at least twice against a Salzburg side they scored nine goals in two matches last season.
Inter vs Liverpool – Both Teams to Score
Liverpool once again make the trip to Italy, as they take on Italian champions Inter at the San Siro in the last-16.
Like Bayern, Liverpool completed the group-stage with a 100% record, winning all six of their matches, whilst Inter finished runners-up to record champions Real Madrid.
Domestically, both of these sides rarely fail to find the back of the net, with both scoring in all bar-one of their 24 league matches.
Jürgen Klopp’s side conceded in all three of their group-stage matches away from home, including against Inter’s city-rivals AC Milan and I’m happy to back both sides to score once again here.
