Arsenal have been blowing away all before them in recent weeks and Mikel Arteta’s men will have FC Porto in their sights tonight.
The Gunners have hit 21 goals in their last 5 outings but they’ve yet to win in Oporto after three attempts in the competition so they’ll be aiming to put that right this evening against the 2004 European Champions. Porto have come off worse against English opposition more often than not, being eliminated in seven of eight ties against teams from the Premier League, so no real surprise to see Arsenal as short as 1/7 to qualify.
They’re 4/6 to take a first leg advantage and it could pay to get on goals again with the Gunners. 12 of Arsenal’s 16 goals in the competition have come in the first half and they’re 4/5 to net inside the opening 45 minutes tonight. Alternatively you can have the same 4/5 odds on them scoring two or more.
First legs are generally tight affairs – five of the six last 16 ties so far have finished Under 2.5 goals – but this one could buck the trend given the goalscoring form that Arsenal are in at the moment and Over 2.5 Goals appeals at 21/20.
Slovakia boss Francesco Calzona will be in charge of Napoli for the first time tonight following the departure of Walter Mazzarri from his post after just three months in charge.
It’s been a turbulent season for the Italian champions who find themselves ninth in the table and well out of the reckoning to defend their title.
Barcelona are the visitors in what should be an intriguing match at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
Barca topped Group H with 12 points but they’ve only won one of their last 10 away games in the knockout stages of the Champions League (D4 L5) so could be up against it in Italy tonight. The bookies make them 11/8 favourites but under a new manager and with Victor Osimhen set to return for the first time this year the value could be with the hosts at 9/5.
Man City laboured to a 1-0 win over Brentford last night but at this stage of the season all that matters is the three points. That win took them to within one point of Liverpool at the top of the table but the Reds have the chance to re-open a four point lead with a win over Luton Town tonight.
The Hatters have been no pushovers this season, nine of their 14 defeats have been by just a single goal. A 1-goal winning margin for Liverpool pays 10/3.
Rob Edwards' men have scored in each of their last 12 Premier League outings and they’re 8/13 to do so again. Both teams to score in a Liverpool win pays 5/4.

Racing Tips
Rizzel has just the one fancy from Doncaster for Wednesday's racing and he is currently priced up at 11/1 with Bet365.
As always, post your betting tips for today in the comments section below.
Liverpool without Nunez, Jota, TAA, Alison, Jones and now possibly Salah apparently. Certainly value in Luton to just score at 4/6 approx.
Liverpool have conceded at home in their last 7, including vs Norwich, Fulham, Burnley, West Ham.
Add Arsenal to score 2 at Porto for a 2/1 double.
If Salah is out thats a big prob.
If Salah is out that’s a big prob.????
What you tipping maccathered? Thinking elliot anytime is half decent shout, looked and best odds 100/30 @ skybet. Gakpo and Diaz obvious shouts but I think theyll be goals, as mostly always! Interested to hear your thoughts 👍
I’ll pop something up later mate, Salah’s replacement has been training with the first team for some time but he’s not in the matchday squad, Klopp readying him for battle watch this space!

How tiny Deano?
Just half a point mate nothing at all stood out for tonight saving me pennies for tomorrow night were there’s a few games in Europe what il be on for goals
Fairly simple tonight as not much to pick from but sometimes that makes it easier.
Arsenal on fire at present so should be too strong for a Porto side that haven’t been pulling up any trees, fancy they will win by more than a goal in this one. Correct score prediction 2-0 (
Liverpool struggling with injuries but should still have enough for a Luton side, that while doing better than expected, are leaking goals at a rate (9 in last 3 prem games). That said Liverpool are very porous as well (no clean sheet in 6), so the bet for me has to be Liverpool win and BTTS. Correct score prediction 3-1 (17/2)
Arsenal minus 1 – 33/20 NAP
Liverpool win and BTTS – 13/10 NB
Double up above – just over 5/1 LONGSHOT.
Correct scores as above – singles and double – double pays 70/1 HAIL MARY SHOT.
BOL.
Arsenal correct score 13/2
It’ll be remarkable if Arsenal can cover a handicap away from home in a knockout phase especially against a well experienced side.
Gent v Maccabi 5pm
Gent are 1-0 down after the first leg but dominated that game; xg 1.71 v 0.51, 20 shots v 6, 57% possession v 43%, 8 corners v 2..
I know next to nothing about either team but having a go on Gent at 1.9 bet365 (if they go two up it’s a winner regardless).. small stakes on 2+ FH Gent goals at 5/1 too
Afternoon gents,
Turned out rubbish picks with the goals option last night, thought Brentford did well in fairness to them but didn’t help my cause!

Porto v Arsenal
Btts at 19/20 (NAP)
Red card in the match at 9/2
Arsenal come in to this game the much inexperienced team at this level and you know Porto will of done their homework. There’s no question who the better side is but Arsenal can be easily riled and I’m pretty sure the home side will do their best to shift Arsenal’s focus. I’ll give you an example Arsenal take a 2 goal lead at Anfield and silence the crowd, then Arsenal do something silly and get the crowd riled and suddenly it’s 2-2 and they could of lost that game, Champions League is a different comp of course but if they don’t keep their heads the Porto players certainly know how to have a dust up, 9/2 on a red appeals a lot.
Prediction 1-2
Best of luck
Liverpool v Luton 19:30
Over 0 Luton goals and over 0 Liverpool cards 23/20 Bet365

Liverpool have also received multiple bookings in last six home league matches. Luton’s opponents in seven of previous eight games have registered multiple cards – United received five yellows on Sunday. GL
