IT’S been a slow start by England in the UEFA Under-21 Championship – but they’ll have to make a move on Sunday.
After draws against Spain and Ukraine, Stuart Pearce’s men must beat the Czech Republic and are 6-5 with Paddy Power to do so.
England have drifted to 7-1 with Chandler in the outright betting for the tournament but those odds will collapse if they reach the semis.
The Czechs need just a point to qualify and the draw pays 9-4 at Betfred while they are 2-1 for a Viborg victory.
However, it’s time for England to come alive and maybe they will if Pearce lets Scott Sinclair off the leash.
He is tipped to replace Danny Rose in attack and is 10-1 with boylesports to bag the opener while Daniel Sturridge is 6-1 (Chandler).
Tournament favourites Spain need a point against Ukraine to secure their semi-final spot but should pick up all three and are 4-9 with Stan James to do so.
Recommendation
England to win to nil
(5-2, Paddy Power)
