WE ALL dream of winning big when we place our weekend accas and for one punter in Govan, Glasgow that dream came true last weekend.

James Creaney managed to turn £10 into £20,010 thanks to five correct selections in the Both Teams to Score at Half-Time market at his local Betfred shop.

The bet looks pretty simple and James admits it was pot luck as he chose the teams at random. Despite the bet landing before 4pm James didn't realise he'd won until that evening when he checked his line with his son. Having discovered he had four out five correct he refused to reveal what the fifth match was, keeping himself and his son in suspense for fear that it might be a loser.

Cue the celebrations when he finally confirmed that his last selection was at Bolton and his biggest win ever was in the bag. Well done to James for a magnificent win, although his only regret is he'd been putting the same bet on for the previous few weeks to a £20 stake. Had he done so again he'd have been a further £20,000 better off – but let's not be greedy James!

He and the family are off to Dubai, although James Jnr still expects his dad to be last to hit the bar!

It's great to hear stories of ordinary punters beating the bookies, especially on a bet any of one of us could have placed. Most bookies allow you to bet on the Both Teams to Score in the First Half market online, including Betfred, so if you fancy having a go yourself just to go to each individual match and have a look for that market.

As for James he's giving it another go this week with games at Millwall, Sheffield Utd, Southend, Barnet and Crawley which returns a cool £19,728 at Betfred. BUT!!! pays a massive £46,963 at BetVictor – which proves it really does pay to shop around for the best odds!

Well done again to James and good luck to anyone giving this kind of bet a go this weekend.
