The Saint Greg Browning’s Tips: Romania on a roll

WAS a really rewarding night on a tricky card last night – doesn't get any easier though.

There’s one match from the Nations League I really like the look of and I’m a big fan of the U21 qualifiers for goals.

Romania v Montenegro (7.45pm)

Its been a really fruitful 2018 for Romania, and with just one defeat in their last 8 (6 wins and a draw) there is reason to be optimistic about this team's qualification goals for the Euros. A bit like Austria who I was on yesterday, Romania have defeated some pretty useful sides this year (Israel, Sweden, Chile, Finland) and with home advantage I feel they have the beating of a Montenegro side who are heading in the opposite direction.

The visitors are without a win in 6 and this will be one of the toughest matches they have played in the last 12 months. Scoring has been a problem for them having failed to net in 4 of their last 6. I can't see them causing a much improved Romania side too many problems and it's hard to ignore the quality of the opposition the hosts have beaten this year. They are a very generous price in my view.

Bulgaria U21 v France U21 (5pm)
Denmark U21 v Finland U21 (5pm

These two matches look the pick of the bunch from the U21 qualifiers.

France lead the way in this group with maximum points from their 7 games and have seen over 2.5 goals in 13 of their last 16 matches. It will be a tough test though in Bulgaria who need something from this game, both teams should get on the scoresheet.

The Danes are flying – their last 9 games have all seen over 2.5 goals and with 43 goals scored in those matches, we should see another high scoring game against a Finish side whose last 5 games on the road have yielded 20 goals. Wouldn't be surprised to see both sides score here too.
