THE goal gods were smiling yesterday as my 1-1 NAP and 7-2 treble cruised in.
Plenty games to look at today and no surprise I will be focusing on the French and Dutch games.
Ajaccio v Nancy (7pm)
This is a really intriguing match and one in which I can't quite get my head around why the bookies have priced this up as they have (over 2.5 goals 7-5). Ajaccio are looking to make it 5 wins on the spin and at home they have been tremendous.
They’ve won 13 of their last 17 at home and scored two or more in 7 of their last 8. They have an outside chance of automatic promotion but need to keep clear of the chasing pack for that last play-off place.
Nancy are also involved in a fight, however theirs is to ensure they are playing in this league next season. They currently occupy the relegation play-off place and need points today.
Given Ajaccio’s promotion needs and impressive home form plus Nancy’s fight to stay up, this should be an open game – the bookies don’t often get it wrong but I feel they have here and we should see goals. Taking a bit of security though by going with the Asian handicap.

I said last week the French league tends to come alive as we hit the business end of the season, games are more open and we see more goals. That was the case last week with it seeing the most goals so far this season – posted it last week and taking it again tonight.
