ANDY MURRAY is joint favourite to win the US Open after landing his second Grand Slam of his career at Wimbledon on Sunday.
The Scot and Novak Djokovic are 15-8 with BetVictor and William Hill and such as the power swung so much to those two that Rafael Nadal is 7-1 while Roger Federer and Juan Martin del Potro are 10-1.
At the moment you'd have to favour Murray to defend his trophy after he beat Djokovic in a five-set thriller at Flushing Meadows last year.
To defend his Wimbledon crown Murray is 2-1 with boylesports as is Djokovic. Surely it will be easier for Andy to win it again with no one telling him every two seconds: “No Brit has won Wimbledon for 77 years”.

Del Potro's an interesting one. He was so close to beating Djokovic in the semi-finals and the Argentine has a game made for grass. That 16-1 could be worth an each-way look depending on the draw – but of course we won't know that until closer to the start of the tournament.
