TOMMY WRIGHT'S St Johnstone are looking to make it 5 wins on the spin today and it’s great to see the bookies are underestimating us.
St Johnstone v Hamilton (3pm)
What a difference a month makes. Since a 6-0 hammering from Celtic, the Perth side have responded in style winning all 4 games without conceding and have a terrific chance to make it 5 wins on the spin as they host struggling Hamilton.
That 4th win came last week with a thoroughly deserved victory over a Hibs side who hadn’t lost at home in 11 months.
Summer recruitment saw us bring in Tony Watt, Drey Wright and Matty Kennedy and the three of them have been instrumental in making this team much more of an attacking threat.
We’ll finish no lower than 7th and the way things are going we look a great bet to finish top 6.
There won’t be any complacency against a Hamilton side who always defy the odds to retain their place in the league. They’ll make it tough for us but if we reach the levels of performance from the last 4 games we’ll secure another 3 points.
Hamilton gained a much-needed win against Livingston but that was at home and against a Livi side who are starting to be found out.
Was really surprised when I saw the price for this game – for a team with 4 wins in a row and 4 clean sheets, I expected us to be around 4-6 so happy to see us priced as big as 5-6.
We look a real threat going forward and defensively we have been terrific. I’m taking us to collect another three points and continue our fantastic record against Hamilton (one defeat in 12 and have won the last 5 encounters).
Recommended Bet
- St Johnstone to beat Hamilton
- 5-6 (Betfair) (NAP)
