SUPER CUP: BARCA v PORTO

BARCA love getting their hands on trophies – whether it's the Champions League, La Liga or the Catalan volleyball open.

Their hunger for success hasn't waned after a couple of years of domination and that's why they should be backed to lift the Super Cup in Monaco.

The clash with Porto is not much more than a friendly and a curtain-raiser to their league season but Barca coach Pep Guardiola has promised to field his strongest side and that's bad news for the Portuguese.

Barca, of course, are short-priced favourites at a biggest 2-5 with Ladbrokes and are 6-5 with Blue Square minus one goal.

The Spanish season hasn't started but the European champs looked in fine shape as they lifted the domestic Super Cup by beating Real Madrid 5-4 over two legs.

And the fact Guardiola's attack-minded side conceded four goals suggests Porto could at least score.

Goals look a banker in the game and you can have over 2.5 at 4-6 with boylesports while both teams to score is 17-20 with Chandler.

Porto, a best 7-1 at Stan James, have lost boss Andre Villas-Boas to Chelsea but have started the season well with two league wins.

So nothing much has changed under Vitor Pereira and having netted in the openers Hulk is worth a look at 3-1 with Paddy Power to score at any time. To bag the opener he's 9-1.

But while Hulk is incredible Lionel Messi is amazing and he's just 7-10 with Chandler to hit the target.

The Argentine star is 11-4 at bet365 to score first and he could do so ahead of David Villa who is
9-2 with Blue Square and Coral.
