superbowl cheerleaders

NY Giants v NE Patriots, Indianapolis, 10.30pm, live Sky Sports 1

THE Super Bowl is a repeat of 2008 – but the singing's not.

Madonna will be the half-time entertainment highlight and her presence will add to a global audience which will pull in 110 million in the US alone.

Super Bowl XLVI in Indiana features New York Giants against New England Patriots and four years it was the Giants who won 17-14.

Patriots are out for revenge and once again start as favourites with unibet going 4-5 and the Giants 7-5. The draw pays 9-1 and isn't out of the question.

It really is tough to call because there is so little between the teams even with Giants receiving a three-point start on the handicaps. Plus three the Giants are 10-11 at bet365 with Patriots 23-20 minus three and the tie 15-2.

As far as quarterbacks are concerned it's a battle of the elite. Giants' Eli Manning picked up his first Super Bowl victory in 2008 where he was also named MVP.

Counterpart Tom Brady, however, is gunning for his fourth title if which would rank him as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time.

Eli seems to come good when the pressure is really on and during the season set a new record for most fourth quarter touchdowns but with Brady and this could be his moment.

It's almost certain a QB will win MVP and Brady is 5-4 at Paddy Power with Manning 2-1 with BetVictor.

The Patriots offence will face a tough test against the likes of Jason Pierre-Paul and Osi Umenyiora while the defence will have to stop Manning passing to the big-play receivers.

At the other end New York's tightend combo of Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez is one of the most feared duos in the game with the pair putting up over 2200 yards and 24 touchdowns during the regular season.

Whatever you think of the match-ups, the defence and offences, or if you think the game will be high or low scoring, there are bets to placed on everything.

It should be high scoring with Giants averaging 27 points in the play-offs and Patriots an incredible 34. Over 53.5 pays 10-11 at bodog.

A touchdown is favourite to be the first score at 4-7 with bet365 but with nerves playing a part early on I'd look at field goal at 6-4 with the same firm.

I think you meant the patriots offense when you’re talking about Pierre-Paul and Umenyioura. Patriots look a stick on, but Eli likes to pull it out the bag, especially considering they beat the packers in green bay.

Brian, I did indeed, will sort it. Enjoy the game if you’re staying up.
