Super Bowl 2025 betting tips

The final game of the NFL season takes place as we have Super Bowl 2025 in New Orleans this weekend, with the Philadelphia Eagles facing the Kansas City Chiefs in a rematch of the finale from three years ago.

That time, the Chiefs started their run of three consecutive appearances in the showpiece with a 38-35 win, and if they repeat the feat this weekend at Super Bowl 2025, they’ll become the first team EVER to “three-peat” after beating the 49ers last year.

The Chiefs overcame the Buffalo Bills in the AFC Championship game a fortnight ago as their defence stymied Josh Allen. The offence did enough at key points to get the win, while the Eagles stomped on the Commanders thanks for a big game for their defence, who forced five turnovers as they romped home to win by over 30 points.

Super Bowl 2025 best best – Kansas City Chiefs -1.5 vs Philadelphia Eagles: 48.5

With hundreds of markets available for Super Bowl 2025, it can be a bit of a minefield going through them to pick out your bets, and with novelty bets like the Coin Toss and National Anthem, there are more options every year.

Keep an eye on social media over the weekend, as the national anthem will likely get leaked at some point, and if you're quick, you can guarantee an early win.

Key for the Chiefs at Super Bowl 2025

Sure, the Chiefs have the best head coach in the league and the best QB in the league in the shape of Patrick Mahomes, but it's their elite defence coached by Steve Spagnuolo, which is the main reason they've made it to Super Bowl 2025.

The Chiefs hadn't scored over 30 points until their win over the Bills last week, yet they had won 17 of their 19 games this season, and most of it hasn't been a fluke. If their run defence can be as good as it has been for a lot of the season then the Chiefs should win. Look for Chris Jones to get a sack at 7/5.

On the more exciting side of the ball, Mahomes is still a star quarterback despite his late numbers; he gets the job done when needed and takes the game to opponents with his legs when things really count. I like o5.5 rush attempts for him in this one, this include kneel-downs at the end of the half or game if things are going their way.

His favourite target will probably be Travis Kelce, who gets a good matchup against an Eagles team who have given up a lot of catches to the TE position in the playoffs, but his lines are too high for me, so I prefer the 1.5 catches for TE2 Noah Gray.

Xavier Worthy adds some pace to the offence and was highly targeted last week, while the rest of the passing game will go through Marquise Brown, Deandre Hopkins and maybe Juju Smith-Schuster over the middle.

The run game looks like it's mainly Kareem Hunt now who has scored in four games in a row and gets the majority of the rushes with Isiah Pacheco struggling since coming back from injury, I do like the price on Hunt to find the endzone again at 6/5.

How do the Eagles win Super Bowl 2025?

This won't come as any surprise to anyone who has watched the NFL this year, but they need to run the ball well, something they have done all season, with Saquon Barkley needing 30 yards to set the single-season record for regular and post-season rushing yards, and Jalen Hurts, who's sitting on 18 rushing TDs after notching up three last weekend in their win over the Commanders.

An ideal world for the Eagles would be similar to every game they've played in the playoffs, get an early lead and run Saquon 25+ times. He will break one of them for a long gain, and they'll find their way to the endzone with a “tush push” on Hurts, which still seems to be unstoppable.

The 1/2 for Barkley to score a touchdown actually seems like quite good value, but I'd rather take the 5/6 for Hurts to get into the endzone.

The Eagles operate a very shallow passing game, deep shots to AJ Brown, who tends to do well in single-coverage and should face a lot of that here, albeit against one of the better corners in the league, throws over the middle to Dallas Goedert who had seven catches last time out for 85 yards and mid-range shot to Devonta Smith, trying to get him in some space to use his speed to full advantage.

That is essentially it for the Eagles. They don't use their running backs in the passing game too often, and while you might get the odd ball to Jahan Dotson, it is far from likely, in fact the odds for Eagles players catching a pass is remarkably low at o/u 5.5.

They say that defences win championships, and like their opponents, the Eagles have one of the best in the league, probably the best this season after a brilliant off-season. They have two shut-down corners in Slay and Mitchell, a fantastic defensive line led by Jalen Carter, and the signing of Zack Baun, which has proven to be one of the best of last summer. 6/4 on Carter getting a sack is a nice price.

How do we bet on Super Bowl 2025?

I think the Chiefs will win Super Bowl 2025, and because of that, instead of going for them to win the game, I'll be backing Mahomes to win the MVP at Evens. It's not much better, but there's value there over the 5/6 for them to win Super Bowl 2025. I don't see any way it's anyone else on their team if they make it three in a row. I would lean over the total, but I don't want to be betting on that line.

With so many props around, there are better ways to win your cash than the main lines. One I take pretty much every Super Bowl is Shortest TD scored u1.5 yards – 8/13. It's happened in four of the last five finals, with three of them involving the Chiefs and with the tush-push for the Eagles and the Chiefs' creativity, it seems a good bet to happen once more.

Both of these teams are aggressive and will go for it on fourth down, so I love the 4/7 for the Chiefs and 1/3 for the Eagles to convert a fourth down at Super Bowl 2025.

Both teams to score points in first quarter is 6/4 at Betfair. Great bet for the neutral where you just want to see some big plays
