It's a big day in the Premier League title race as leaders Liverpool head to the Emirates looking to pile on the pain for injury-hit Arsenal.

The Gunners were our tip for the title and things were looking good when they came through unscathed in tough games on the road against Aston Villa, Tottenham and Manchester City.

But a 2-0 loss on the road at Bournemouth last weekend saw the wheels come off – with William Saliba's early red card also forcing the key defender out of Liverpool's visit today.

Mikel Arteta's side also have other defenders as injury doubts while Liverpool are flying, having won 12 of their 13 games since Arne Slot took charge. But Arsenal have lost just one of their last 17 at home so the Reds will need to be at their very best to claim another victory.

Arsenal v Liverpool top betting tips

This isn't a game that promises a lot of goals, with Slot making Liverpool far more solid at the back and Arteta also playing it cagey for the big games. But we all thought that would be the case when Arsenal visited the Etihad and it ended up being a thrilling 2-2 draw.

The bookies are sitting on the fence, with over 2.5 goals and under 2.5 goals both a shade under evens. Backing under 2.5 strikes looks most appealing at 20/23 with Betano while the half-time draw is also tempting at 23/20.

Stats bets look like the best option for punters in what should be a tight game. The midfield battle will be fierce and Thomas Partey will be Arteta's enforcer. He's 11/8 at Bet365 to make over 1.5 fouls and that looks good value.

Liverpool full-back Andy Robertson is 11/10 in the same market just to commit a single foul and that's also well worth a look if he gets the nod ahead of Kostas Tsimikas to start.

Mo Salah could get a bit of joy against a makeshift Gunners defence and he's 21/20 with Bet365 to either score or assist.

West Ham United vs Manchester United top betting tips

Manchester United have won just once in their last seven outings but will fancy their chances today against a West Ham side in dismal form.

While only one of those seven games has ended in defeat for the Red Devils, the Hammers have lost four games in the same run of fixtures.

They were battered 4-1 by Spurs last time out but Thursday's draining Europa League clash in Turkey could make Manchester United a bit vulnerable.

Erik ten Hag's side conceded first in their win over Brentford last weekend and backing the Hammers to break the deadlock here pays 21/20 at Betano.

Bruno Fernandes will be fresh for Manchester United after a Euro suspension and the skipper is evens at Bet365 to either score or assist.

Chelsea v Newcastle United top betting tips

Chelsea's revival hit the buffers last weekend with a defeat at Anfield and it will be interesting to see how they bounce back today against Newcastle.

The Blues sit just two points ahead of Eddie Howe's side but the Magpies have hit a bump of late, with a draw against Everton and a loss to Brighton in their last two league games.

They've also scored just once across their last three in all competitions so that's why Betano make Chelsea 7/10 favourites.

Even though Newcastle are struggling in front of goal, Chelsea have conceded in their last five matches. BTTS is just 2/5 with Betano here but if you combine that with under 4.5 goals it boosts the odds to 13/10.

Moises Caicedo will be at the heart of the midfield battle and the Blues star is 21/10 at Bet365 to go into the book.

Hibernian v Heart of Midlothian top betting tips

It's a busy day in the SPFL Premiership with the Old Firm both in action but top billing goes to the Edinburgh derby as Hibs and Hearts collide.

There's even more at stake than usual in this clash with the teams propping up the Premiership table after dismal starts to the season.

But new boss Neil Critchley has got off to a flying start at Tynecastle with wins over St Mirren and Omonia Nicosia in his first two games.

Thursday's Euro clash with the Cypriots could be a factor today but it was at home so it's not as if the Jambos will be tired after a long flight.

Betano make the Jambos 15/8 outsiders and that could be worth a punt with Hibs looking a mess at the back once more.

Cards are always a safer bet in this fixture, especially with the Hibees collecting red cards in their last two games. Over 62.5 booking points looks good at 6/4 with Betfred.

For a long-odds option, combining cards for Hibs stopper Marvin Ekpiteta and Jambos midfielder Malachi Boateng pays 12/1 at Bet365.

Sunday's Football Tips: Super singles

  • Thomas Partey over 1.5 fouls 11/8 Bet365
  • BTTS and under 4.5 goals in Chelsea v Newcastle 13/10 Betano
  • Bruno Fernandes goal or assist Evs Bet365

Long shot

  • Marvin Ekpiteta and Malachi Boateng to be carded in Hibs v Hearts 12/1 Bet365.
