There are only a few matches left in the Ligue 1 season, making every matchday a mini-final for most teams. On Sunday, we’ll see several such mini-finals, each of which could significantly shake up the standings.
Monaco will try to reclaim their spot in the top six, Lyon will look to return to the top four, and PSG will aim to take a huge step toward the title. Among them, we’ll also see several teams involved in the relegation battle.
With five fixtures scheduled for Sunday, we have expert tips and predictions for each Ligue 1 clash.
Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions
Monaco vs. Auxerre (2pm)
Monaco suffered a shocking loss to Paris FC, thereby losing their spot in the top six. Now they face another opponent from the bottom of the table.
Auxerre haven’t lost in three matches, but draws won’t be enough to avoid relegation. The problem is that the team has the weakest attack in the league. By comparison, they have scored less than half as many goals as Monaco so far.
Despite the recent loss, the Monegasques have five consecutive home wins, and we should take advantage of the odds.
Monaco vs. Auxerre top betting tip: Monaco to win
Metz vs. Paris FC (4:15pm)
Metz and Paris FC were promoted together, but it looks like only the latter will remain in the
league for another season.
The visitors haven’t lost in seven straight matches, which has helped them climb to 12th place, 11 points above the relegation zone. Meanwhile, Metz are just one or two losses away from confirming their relegation.
This match is very important for both teams, so we expect plenty of action. Nine of the last 10 matches between these two teams have featured both teams to score.

Nantes vs. Brest (4:15pm)
Nantes are another team that will almost certainly be playing in Ligue 2 next year, but they have a chance to pick up crucial points against Brest, who have lost three straight games.
Before those three losses, Brest were in great form, especially defensively. Nantes are the second-lowest-scoring team in the league, and we doubt they’ll have many scoring opportunities if Brest tighten up their defence.
We expect a low-scoring match and a likely narrow victory for the visitors, though we wouldn’t risk betting on it.
Nantes vs. Brest top betting tip: Under 2.5 goals
Strasbourg vs. Rennes (4:15pm)
Strasbourg secured a fantastic victory in the Conference League, advancing to the semifinals. Now they will try to carry that form over to Ligue 1, where a direct rival for a top-six spot—Rennes—awaits them.
Both teams are in good form, and there has definitely been an improvement in attack. We’re certainly expecting plenty of attacking football and lots of goals.
The first match of the season ended in a resounding 4-1 victory for Rennes, but Strasbourg are in far better form now. We’re going with Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals, but separately.
Strasbourg vs. Rennes top betting tip: BTTS, Over 2.5 goals
PSG vs. Lyon (7:45pm)
PSG have reached yet another Champions League semifinal, and now they need to finish the job in Ligue 1, potentially dashing Lyon’s hopes of finishing in the top four in the process.
One of the problems facing the Kids is that they haven’t won in five consecutive away games. Scoring goals is an even bigger problem, as they failed to find the net in three of their last five matches.
PSG, on the other hand, have kept a clean sheet in four of their last five matches. They also have eight wins in their last 10 against Lyon. It would be quite a surprise if we didn’t see another win on Sunday at Parc des Princes.
