At this stage, every team must win, especially those at the bottom and those fighting for Europe. Lille and Rennes’ fixtures will determine whether there will be any serious changes in the top six, while Lens have an opportunity to close in on PSG again after their defeat.

Today’s Ligue 1 betting tips & predictions

Lens vs. Metz (2pm)

Lens stumbled in two consecutive matches, which seemed to end the title race until Friday this week, when PSG lost to Monaco.

Now they need a mandatory win against bottom-of-the-table Metz. Interestingly, one of Metz's three wins this season was against Lens, but we don't expect that to happen again.

With 10 wins in 12 home games this season and an average of two goals scored per game, we expect Lens to win comfortably.

Lens vs. Metz top betting tip: Lens to win & BTTS – No

Brest vs. Le Havre (4:15pm)

Brest are one of the few teams in good form at the moment, and with a few more wins they could be in contention for a European spot

Le Havre are relatively safe despite two consecutive defeats, but a few more losses could see their situation deteriorate significantly.

Brest are phenomenal at home, with five wins in their last six games. In four of those six games, they kept a clean sheet. Considering that the visitors are among the weakest away teams, we expect another home win.

Brest vs. Le Havre top betting tip: Brest to win, BTTS – No

Lille vs. Lorient (4:15pm)

Lille have finally rediscovered their winning formula and go into this match on the back of two consecutive victories. Lorient, meanwhile, have slowed down with two consecutive draws, but remain a real threat.

In principle, neither team is among the highest scoring, but the results between them are always spectacular. For example, the first match of the season ended in a 7-1 victory for Lille.

The last nine H2H matches have included at least three goals, and Lille have eight wins in their last nine home games against Lorient.

Lille vs. Lorient top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals, Over 1.5 Lille goals

Nice vs. Rennes (4:15pm)

Nice had a great week and qualified for the semi-finals of the Coupe de France, but now they face Rennes after three consecutive wins.

Rennes are back in the race for Europe and are level on points with Lille and Monaco, which means that a win will almost certainly boost them up at least one place.

Nice continue to struggle at the bottom of the table, but they haven't lost at home since the beginning of December (W3, D4). We don't plan to take any risks with the final score, but rather focus on over 2.5 goals.

Nice vs. Rennes top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

Lyon vs. Paris FC (7:45pm)

The last few weeks at Lyon have been quite strange, as the team suffered three consecutive losses after having 16 consecutive wins before that.

The only positive is their high scoring rate, which should motivate them to achieve more. Paris FC won their first match with their new manager and will also be eager for more positive results.

The two teams are at opposite ends of the goal spectrum, with Lyon's matches producing many goals and Paris FC's often seeing under 2.5. The first match of the season ended 3-3, so we are going to try back Lyon & Over 2.5 goals.

Lyon vs. Paris FC top betting tip: Lyon to win, Over 2.5 goals
