The relegation battle will be at the forefront of Sunday's Bundesliga schedule, as almost all of the teams in danger will be involved in the action.
Freiburg will try to close in on the European zone against the threatened Borussia Monchengladbach, followed by a battle for survival between Werder Bremen and St. Pauli. Finally, Stuttgart will try to maintain their place in the top four against bottom-of-the-table Heidenheim.
Read on for our expert tips and predictions for the three Bundesliga matches on Sunday.
Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions
Freiburg vs. Borussia Monchengladbach (2:30pm)
Freiburg's inconsistency is preventing them from becoming a real contender for Europe, as they currently remain nine points behind the top six.
Borussia Mönchengladbach have only one win since the start of the year, followed by six games without a positive result. Freiburg are one of the strongest home teams in the league, with only one loss in 10 games.
The odds are surprisingly high for a home win, and we can't help but take advantage of that. Borussia's last win in this fixture was in 2021.
Freiburg vs. Borussia Monchengladbach top betting tip: Freiburg to win
St Pauli vs. Werder Bremen (4:30pm)
St Pauli and Werder Bremen will not have many similar opportunities to score points until the end of the season, which makes this clash quite unpredictable.
Considering that these are two of the three lowest-scoring teams in the league, we expect a tough battle and few goals. The last five clashes between them since 2021 have ended with under 2.5 goals.
We may see a draw, although either team could win by a single goal. This is the type of match where the first goal will decide everything.
St Pauli vs. Werder Bremen: Under 2.5 goals
Heidenheim vs. Stuttgart (6:30pm)
Stuttgart achieved a magnificent away win over Celtic during the week, but they must be prepared for a no less difficult clash with the bottom team in the standings, who are desperate for points.
Heidenheim are still without a win in 2026 and scoring goals continues to be a huge problem. Stuttgart already suffered a shock defeat against a bottom team in February (St. Pauli 2-1).
We plan not to risk a win, as Stuttgart also have the Europa League to think about at the moment. However, we can test over 2.5 goals, given how important this match is for the hosts and the strong form of the visitors.
