The Bundesliga offers three matches on Sunday’s schedule, and each one presents plenty of betting opportunities.

Hamburger host Freiburg in a match that is crucial only for the visitors, who have yet to secure their spot in European competition next year. Later, we’ll see another key clash in the race for survival, featuring bottom-placed Heidenheim. Finally, Mainz host Union Berlin, who are still searching for their first win since the managerial change.

Keep reading below for our expert tips and predictions for all Bundesliga matches on Sunday.

Today’s Bundesliga betting tips & predictions

Hamburger vs. Freiburg (2:30pm)

The win over Eintracht secured Hamburger’s place in the Bundesliga for another season, so all that’s left is for them to finish the campaign on a positive note.

Freiburg reached a historic Europa League final, but they can’t afford to let up if they want to secure a spot in UEFA’s competitions, even if they lose that final.

Given Hamburger’s slight improvement and Freiburg’s subpar form on the road, it’s entirely possible we’ll see a high-scoring match. The last three official matches between the two teams have featured Both Teams to Score and Over 2.5 goals.

Hamburger vs. Freiburg top betting tip: Over 2.5 goals

FC Koln vs. Heidenheim (4:30pm)

Like Hamburg, FC Koln can also feel safe following their latest result, even though they still need one more point to secure their place officially. For Heidenheim, however, this could be their last chance to reach the relegation playoff, so the three points are a must.

When it comes to goals, this matchup features two of the teams with the most high-scoring games. And right now, each of their recent encounters has featured big scorelines.

Four of the last five matches between FC Koln and Heidenheim have featured goals at both ends. In our opinion, this is once again the best bet for Sunday.

Mainz vs. Union Berlin (6:30pm)

To wrap things up, we have another match that promises to be exciting, not so much because the teams are strong or in good form, but because they produce high-scoring matches.

Union Berlin are still looking for their first win under new manager Marie-Louise Eta and will certainly want to secure it before the end of this campaign.

There is certainly cause for optimism given that Union have not lost any of their last nine matches against Mainz. But for us, it’s more important that eight of those nine matches featured goals at both ends.
