THE Edinburgh derby takes top billing on a busy night of Premiership action and it’s a tough one to call.

Hearts are in better form, with five wins from seven, but Hibs have home advantage and McBookie make them slight favourites at 6/4.

The Jambos are 7/4 while plenty of punters will fancy the stalemate at 12/5 but I’m going for the half-time draw instead at 23/20.

Cards are always a good option in this fixture with 21 yellows and one red flashed across the last three meetings.

A sending-off tonight pays 5/2 (Bet365) but backing certain players for cards looks wiser. Most of the tackles will be in midfield so I fancy Beni Banigime (7/4, Bet365) and Joe Newell (11/5, W Hill) to go in the book.

It would be a huge shock if Rangers slipped up at home to Ross County ahead of Saturday’s big derby.

SPFL Previews

Cyriel Dessers seems to be growing in confidence and he’s 6/5 with Bet365 for anytime scorer.

Gers’ Christmas Eve win over Motherwell made it 15 games without a victory for the Steelmen.

They now head to Pittodrie and it’s hard to see the sorry sequence ending.

Aberdeen are 8/11 favourites at McBookie but backing them to win the first half boosts the odds to 13/10.

Livingston’s dismal form is the only thing keeping Well off the bottom and the Lions desperately need a win when St Johnstone come calling.

This has the makings of an ugly game and a one-goal winning margin appeals at 6/5 with McBookie.

The final Premiership clash sees in-form Kilmarnock head to St Mirren for what should be a tight one.

The half-time draw looks good here too and that pays evens with William Hill.

Super singles: Dessers to score (6/5, Bet365). Dons win first half (13/10, McBookie)

McBookie bet builder: Combining the HT draw and over 3.5 cards at Easter Road pays 124/100.
