WITH the top two in Championship action last night it’s all about how the chasing pack respond in today’s games.
The lower leagues were good for me last weekend with all four of my top tips coming up. But it’s another tough card to call, even though Inverness, Raith and Partick all have home advantage.
Caley Thistle are looking to bounce back from last week’s loss to Kilmarnock and face a Morton side who have been revitalised by new gaffer Dougie Imrie.
Ton have scored in their last 12 games and will be out for revenge after a 6-1 Cappielow loss in December.
BTTS has come up in four of the last four meetings so that looks the shout here at 11/10 with Bet365.
It has been a dark week for Raith Rovers with all the controversy over their move for David Goodwillie.
Off-field problems mirror their misery on the pitch as Rovers have gone seven games without a win in the Championship.
Hamilton are the visitors today and I fancy BTTS again as it has come up in Raith’s last four games and two of Accies’ last three.
The odds aren’t great at a best 4/5 with Betfred but McBookie are offering 9/4 on a goal for Rovers’ Ethan Ross and that looks decent.
Given the horrendous run Raith are on, it’s incredible that they are still sitting in a play-off spot.
But Partick are just a point behind and have three games in hand so the Jags will be confident of jumping above the Fifers.
Ian McCall’s men host rock-bottom Queen of the South today and I’m betting against both teams scoring.
BTTS has failed to land in four of the last five meetings and backing a repeat here pays 20/23 at BoyleSports.
Three of those five matches ended in 0-0 draws so under 2.5 goals also appeals at 5/6 with the same firm.
There’s a huge clash at the foot of the table as Ayr host Dunfermline with the clubs level on points.
With so much at stake I can see this being tense and that makes the half-time draw a good option at 21/20 with Bet365.
Betting against BTTS could also pay off and that is priced evens (BetVictor).
In League One the top two collide as Airdrie face Cove Rangers up north.
Paul Hartley’s men have won both meetings this season and their only defeat in the last 17 games came in extra-time away to Hibs.
I’m going to back Cove hitman Mitch Megginson for a 17th goal of the season at 6/5 with McBookie.
Kelty are out to avenge a shock loss to Elgin in League Two and I’m combining a Hearts win with over 2.5 goals (21/20, McBookie).
