IT'S the penultimate round of matches tonight from the Spanish Segunda Division and although most of the relegation and promotion places have been settled there are still a few clubs vying for the final La liga play-off spot.
Seven matches to focus on kicking off at 8pm and it's the two clubs battling for the promotion plays-offs I'll be concentrating on.
Elche vs Deportivo
A huge night for Deportivo and Cadiz as both are tied on 64 points and a similar goal difference with 2 games to play. Deportivo travel to Elche and know they can't afford any slips-up with Cadiz likely to take care of Extremadura.
Their away from has been impressive in recent months with 5 wins and 2 draws from their last 9 on the road but they'll face a stern test against an Elche side who may not have anything to pay for but are a tough side to beat at home.
Seven wins from their last 8 at home is the sort of form you'd expect from a side fighting for promotion, not one in the lower half of the league, unfortunately for them their away from has been awful.
They've seen over 1.5 goals in 9 of their last 11 games and have scored 11 in their last 4 games. They are more than capable of getting on the scoresheet again tonight
Cadiz vs Extremadura
Draws have killed Cadiz's automatic promotion hopes with an incredible 9 of their last 11 games ending all square. Their home ground is a bit of a fortress, very few teams leave here with three points and with this being a must win it's hard to see anything other an three points for Cadiz.
Nine of their last 11 games have see 2 or more goals and they play an Extremadura side who are in great shape with just one defeat in their last 9.
Both Cadiz and Deportivo know this game is must-win and face two opponents who are capable of causing them problems.
