REMEMBER Terry Gibson? Well, we've signed him and while he won't be kicking a football he'll be looking into his crystal ball and bringing us his best Spanish tips every week.

The ex-Spurs, Coventry and Manchester United striker is probably best remembered for his time as part of the infamous Wimbledon Crazy Gang side of the late 80s and early 90s. Now an expert in all things La Liga he works as a pundit and co-commentator on Sky Sports’ Spanish football coverage and is a contributor to unibet.

After his 863-1 correct score treble last week, here are Terry's tips for the midday Saturday game.

Deportivo La Coruna v Las Palmas (Sat 3pm)

This is arguably the biggest game of the weekend in La Liga in terms of importance. Las Palmas have the one-point advantage going into the game – 20 points compared to Depor’s 19. Both are in the bottom three and with Levante winning last night, a potentially damaging seven-point gap has been opened up.

It really is two from three who are going to survive now. Malaga are way back on 13 points and look to be resigned to their fate. Therefore a win is crucial for either of these two teams to close the gap on Levante once again.

Incidentally, these two teams  have had seven managers between them this season! Depor are on their third boss in Clarence Seedorf, Las Palmas are on their fourth in Paco Jemez. I’ve just looked at the two starting line ups from October's La Liga fixture when Depor won 3-1 away – the changes in particular to the Las Palmas line up are startling.

Five players are no longer at the club and only three players that played in that game started last week in the home defeat to Villarreal. I have to be honest I can’t see any improvement from Las Palmas despite all those changes. They have used 36 players and four managers this season and that really takes some doing.

Likewise Depor I’m afraid. Since Seedorf was appointed six games ago, they have gained just the one point and scored just the one goal – an own goal! Their last win was back in early December but I’m going to back them to win this game.

Why? I believe they have more potential in attack. Depor’s front three have no doubt underachieved this season. Top scorer Florin Andone has notched seven, Adrian Lopez has five, and Lucas Perez surprisingly has only netted four goals on his loan return from Arsenal. You think that is pretty bad but Las Palmas have Jonathan Calleri on a decent seven and everybody else on one!

Therefore I’m going to go for a 1-0 home win. I’m basing this prediction on a ridiculously high, reckless defensive line tactic from Las Palmas which will be breached on a few occasions by the pace of the Depor front 3.

It’s about time Lucas Perez showed up and Seedorf will be hoping that he takes one of the chances that will definitely come his way in this game and I think he could be the match winner with the only goal of the game.
