SlipsTips shares two selections from Scottish League Two on Saturday, with Stenhousemuir's fixture with Forfar taking centre-stage.
Stenhousemuir vs Forfar (Saturday, 15:00)
Stenhousemuir will be targeting a tenth Scottish League Two victory on the trot when they face Forfar at Ochilview on Saturday.
The Warriors are in scintillating form at the moment, winning each of their last nine league games to surge into an 11 point lead at the summit of the fourth tier.
Forfar, in contrast, are currently languishing way down in eighth place, winning just one of their last six league games following last week's drab 0-0 draw with East Fife.
As such, Stenhousemuir are understandably general 4/6 shots here, however that price can be bolstered to a backable 5/6 (Betfair) shot when backing the hosts with a -0.75 start on the Asian Handicap.
This selection would deliver a full pay-out if Stenhousemuir triumph by two goals or more, with a half-stakes winner banked if the Warriors secure a victory by a one-goal margin.
As already alluded to, Stenny are showing no signs of slowing down in their charge towards the tier four title and a home game with Forfar represents a terrific opportunity to file another three points.
The league leaders boast the best home record in the division this season, claiming top honours from each of their last five fixtures in front of their own supporters.
That doesn’t bode well for a Forfar side who have triumphed in just two of their last 11 Scottish League Two tussles, a sequence that includes recent away losses at both Elgin and The Spartans.
While the Loons will take confidence from their recent win away at second-placed Peterhead, travelling to a Stenhousemuir side in such stunning form represents an entirely different kettle of fish.
When you consider that this bet would have yielded profit from each of the Warriors' last nine league games, siding with the wager this weekend at 5/6 (Bet 365) is a price that definitely represents value.
Given that Gary Naysmith has the deadliest attack in the division at his disposal, I’m also going to back Stenhousemuir to strike twice here at 4/5 with William Hill.
The table-topping Warriors have delivered multiple goals in seven of their nine Ochilview league outings this season, not to mention they took three off Ray McKinnon’s men when the pair last met in Angus just two months ago.
