SlipsTips shares a Bet Builder ahead of Leeds’ clash with Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday.
Leeds vs Manchester United (Sunday, 14:00)
Leeds United and Manchester United will renew hostilities at Elland Road in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Daniel Farke’s side have made a positive start to the season, but they suffered their first defeat last weekend with a narrow 2-1 loss away to Arsenal.
As for Manchester United, they have endured a difficult time of it, winning just one of their opening six league games and arriving in West Yorkshire after a 2-0 defeat away at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
Bryan Mbeumo 2+ Shots
For the first half of a player-based double, I’m backing Bryan Mbeumo to attempt 2+ shots.
The Manchester United forward has been a regular threat this season, with 21 shots in six Premier League appearances putting him among the division’s leading players for attempts. Upon closer inspection, Mbeumo has delivered at least two shots in each of his six top-flight outings this term, firing off three or more efforts in four of those contests.
That tendency was also on show away at Atletico Madrid on Tuesday night, with Mbeumo responsible for two of United’s nine attempts on goal, one of which hit the target.
It is also worth noting that the Red Devils forward has been deployed in a more central role on a regular basis this season, which only adds to the appeal of backing him to produce another two attempts at Elland Road on Sunday.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin To Commit 1+ Foul
I’m going to pair that up by backing Dominic Calvert-Lewin to commit at least one foul during this Elland Road showdown.
The Leeds forward likes to throw his weight around when leading the line, which often sees him overstep the mark and get on the wrong side of the referee.
Last week’s 2-1 loss away at Arsenal was a case in point, as Calvert-Lewin committed three fouls and picked up a yellow card. That has been a recurring theme this season, with Calvert-Lewin averaging 2.11 fouls committed per Premier League game and being penalised at least once in each of his six appearances.
He is likely to get drawn into a physical battle with Manchester United’s Harry Maguire, who has long been effective at winning fouls. Maguire has continued to do so this season, drawing an average of 0.83 fouls per Premier League game.
Together, these selections form a 4/5 Bet Builder that offers plenty of value.
