Rangers will look to go top of the Scottish Premiership table on Saturday night as they travel to Dens Park to take on Dundee.
Rangers extended their winning run to seven matches in league and cup last weekend as they cruised to a 3-1 victory over bottom side Kilmarnock in the Premiership.
A brace from in-form striker Ryan Naderi either side of a goal from fellow forward Kevin Kelsy gave the Teddy Bears a 3-0 lead at halftime, but they took their foot off the gas in the second half and conceded a goal in the 90th minute.
With Celtic hosting third-placed Hearts on Sunday afternoon, Derek McInnes knows a win in the City of Discovery on Saturday night will take his side to the top of the Scottish Premiership table for a few hours at least.
However, they face a Dundee side that has made an impressive start to the season, as they currently occupy fourth spot in the Premiership table after picking up 13 points from their opening eight league outings (W4-D1-L3).
Steven Pressley’s hosts followed up their 2-1 victory at home to Motherwell before the prolonged international break by coming from a goal down to win 1-2 away to Falkirk last weekend.
Jacob Murrell initially gave the Bairns the lead from the spot inside the opening half hour, but second half goals from Owen Bevan and Ashley Hay gave the Dark Blues all three points.
How the bookies view it: Rangers favourites
Rangers are expected to record an eighth consecutive win in all competitions at Dens Park on Saturday night, with bet365 pricing an away success at 19/50.
Dundee are 6/1 underdogs to record a third straight win, whilst the draw is 4/1.
Head to head: Rangers dominance
Rangers are unbeaten in each of their past 20 meetings with Dundee, winning 16 of them (W16-D4-L0).
Dundee’s last success in this fixture came all the way back in November 2017, as a brace from Mark O’Hara gave the Dark Blues a 2-1 win at Dens Park.
Players to watch: Continue to Czech out in-form Naderi
Ryan Naderi did the business for me last Saturday, as I backed him at 4/5 to get on the scoresheet in a Rangers victory over Kilmarnock.
Naderi – who made his Czechia debut against Spain and then his first start against England in the Nations League over the international break – has now scored four times across his last four appearances for the Teddy Bears, and pays an appealing 20/21 at bet365 to get on the scoresheet once again.

Predicted line-ups:
Dundee have a lengthy injury list, with the likes of Simon Murray, Fin Robertson, Jack Moorhouse, Charlie Reilly, Ryan Finnigan, Bobby Wales and Joe Westley.
Rangers will once again be missing the injured Daisuke Yokota, Lawrence Shankland and Youssef Chermiti.
Dundee: Goodman, Wright, Astley, O.Bevan, Samuels, J.Bevan, Jones, Hamilton, Forrest, Fink, Hay
Rangers: Pandur, Sterling, Fernandez, Makhanya, Penrice, Neil, Raskin, Kim, Gassama, Naderi, Kelsy
Anything else catch the eye?
Derek McInnes was frustrated by his side’s lacklustre second-half performance against Kilmarnock last weekend, but they still cruised to a 3-1 success.
That’s now seven straight wins in all competitions from the Ibrox side, with each of those victories featuring fewer than five goals, and a repeat pays a backable 5/6 at bet365.
Dundee have already lost to Celtic, Hearts and Dundee, with Under 4.5 Goals landing on each occasion, which only adds to the appeal.
