After delivering another winner in his featured column on SaturdaySlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Manchester United and Manchester City's hotly-anticipated Premier League showdown at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Manchester United vs Manchester City (Sunday, 15:30)

The red and blue halves of Manchester meet at Old Trafford on Sunday, as Man United play host to bitter rivals Man City.

From a results point of view, Erik ten Hag has managed to steady the ship of late, having steered his side to three wins in succession across all competitions.

As for Man City, they were going through a bit of a blip going into the last international break but they have since rediscovered their winning touch with wins over Brighton and Young Boys.

Unsurprisingly, the Citizens make the short trip across town as heavy 4/6 (Bet 365) favourites, however I’m once again going to put together a player-based selection via the Bet Builder market.

The combination of Erling Haaland to have a shot on target and both Diogo Dalot and Rodri to commit foul will present us with an appetising 11/10 play with Bet 365.

After ending his mini-drought with a goal against Brighton last weekend, Erling Haalnd helped himself to brace against Young Boys in midweek and he could smell blood here against a Man United side that have shown themselves to be somewhat defensively inept all season long.

The Red Devils have conceded more goals than they have scored in the Premier League this season and City hitman Haaland – who is averaging  2.2 shots on target per-game in the Premier League this term – should register at least one strike on goal during Sunday’s showdown..

Moving back the way to the middle of the park, I’ll also go with Man City midfielder Rodri to commit at least one foul during this all-Manchester affair.

The Spanish maestro is a commanding presence in City’s engine room and while his technical ability on the ball allows him to really stand out,  he's not one to shy away from the dirty work, as evidenced by the fact that he is averaging 1.7 fouls per 90 in the top-flight this term.

To round off the Bet Builder, I’ll also back Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot to commit a minimum of one foul during this dust-up.

The Red Devils right-back is a fierce competitor and is committing one misdemeanour per-game on average in the Premier League this season, and he is therefore backed to continue in that vein against such star-studded opposition.

With all things considered, and team news permitting, the aforementioned combination should give us a good run for our money at 11/10 with Bet 365.

Recommended Bet

  • Erling Haaland Over 0.5 Shots on Target
  • Rodri Over 0.5 Fouls Committed
  • Diogo Dalot Over 0.5 Fouls Committed
  • Bet Builder – 11/10 (Bet 365)
