Sky Super 6 challenge

We already see a number of bookmakers offering punters some great prizes for correctly guessing six scores in upcoming Premier League games.

With that in mind, we have decided to take up the Skybet Super 6 Challenge.

Here are this week's selections.

Our Skybet Super 6 Challenge predictions

Aston Villa vs Southampton

Aston Villa ended their five-game winless run in the Premier League with a 3-1 victory over Brentford in midweek. Up next, they face a struggling Southampton side with a dismal record this season: W1-D2-L11, conceding 30 goals in the process. On the road, Southampton have let in 14 goals in seven matches, highlighting their defensive vulnerabilities.

Villa should have little trouble scoring two or three goals against the Saints, given their firepower and Southampton's poor defensive form. However, Southampton have shown they can score away from home, finding the net at Brighton, Arsenal, Bournemouth, and Brentford. It would not be a surprise to see both teams getting on the scoresheet in this matchup.

  • Score 3-1 at 10.0 with Skybet

Brentford vs Newcastle

Brentford boast an impressive home record this season, with W6-D1-L0. Their matches at home have been highly entertaining, averaging 4.86 goals per game. Both teams have scored in all seven of their home matches, and over 2.5 goals have been recorded in six of those games.

Newcastle earned a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Liverpool midweek, but their away form remains inconsistent. Across this season and last, their away record stands at W8-D5-L13, conceding 49 goals in that period. They have managed just three clean sheets in their last 26 away games, with those coming against Sheffield United, Fulham, and Everton.

This matchup has all the ingredients for goals at both ends, but Brentford’s strong home form gives them the edge. Expect both teams to score, with Brentford emerging victorious.

  • Score 2-1 at 9.50 with Skybet

Crystal Palace vs Manchester City

Crystal Palace secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Ipswich midweek, marking just their second win of the season. Their games this season have been low-scoring, averaging only 2.14 goals per match. Meanwhile, Manchester City ended their poor run of four consecutive Premier League defeats with an emphatic 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

This game is likely to be a tight contest, but City should have the quality to come out on top. Palace have only scored four goals at Selhurst Park this season, so expect a closely fought match, with City edging it by a narrow margin.

  • Score 0-2 at 8.5 with Skybet

Manchester Utd vs Nottingham Forest

United may have suffered a midweek defeat to Arsenal, but they had been in strong form at home, winning their previous two matches by a combined score of 7-0, defeating Everton 4-0 and Leicester 3-0. However, their win against Everton was fortunate, as they generated just 1.07 expected goals in that game.

Nottingham Forest have lost their last two away fixtures, both by 3-0 scorelines against Arsenal and Manchester City. Despite these results, Forest are showing signs of improvement and currently sit eighth in the xPTS table this season. This match is likely to be a tight, low-scoring affair, with both sides looking to maintain defensive solidity.

  • Score 1-1 at 7.50 with Skybet

Fulham vs Arsenal

Before the midweek fixtures, Fulham ranked second for xPTS, with Arsenal sitting third. However, since Martin Odegaard's return to the Arsenal lineup, the Gunners have looked very strong. While Fulham have had a solid season, they have shown vulnerabilities at home, losing 4-1 to Fulham and 3-1 to Aston Villa. Notably, both teams have scored in all six of their home games this season. Arsenal should have enough to secure the win, but it could be a closely contested match.

  • Score 1-2 at 7.50 with Skybet

Tottenham vs Chelsea

Spurs versus Chelsea promises to be an intriguing contest, with both sides favouring an attacking style of play. Spurs have shown inconsistency this season; despite a stunning 4-0 win over Manchester City at the Etihad, they previously suffered a 2-1 home loss to Ipswich and looked shaky in their midweek clash with Bournemouth.

Chelsea, on the other hand, come into this match in strong form following a 5-1 victory over Southampton. Their record this season has been impressive, with their only losses coming against Manchester City and Liverpool. This match is shaping up to be a high-scoring affair, with both teams likely to find the back of the net.

  • Score 2-2 at 9.50 with Skybet

The total odds for all six games are a massive 431,507 with Skybet, which may be worth a £1 stake for some fun, I am keen to back both Man Utd and Forest to end 1-1 and Villa to beat Southampton 3-1 and these two games combined give you odds of 75.0 with Skybet.
