IT’S another action-packed midweek in the Scottish Football Leagues – and another chance to beat the bookies.
And once again our lower-league man Joe Wallace has been doing his homework in the hunt for a winning treble.
We start in the Irn-Bru First Division and focus on Falkirk’s trip to face Cowdenbeath.
Steven Pressley’s Bairns have suffered an inconsistent season but some decent results in recent weeks, including Saturday’s 2-1 win over league leaders Raith Rovers, has given them real hope they can storm their way to the title.
They face a Beath side who have won just once in their last four matches and the last time the clubs met the Bairns ran out 5-0 winners.
Falkirk go into this one 18 points ahead of their hosts so take them to keep their promotion push on track at 4-5 with Paddy Power.
We stay in the First Division and look at Queen of the South’s journey to face Stirling Albion.
The sides met at Forthbank on Saturday as the Palmerston men ran out convincing 4-1 winners.
And as the clubs go head to head again only three days later, I can’t see anything other than Queens taking all three points.
The Binos go into this one without a win in their last six matches so go for a Queen’s triumph at 8-11 with Paddy Power.
We finish up in the Irn-Bru Third Division and Annan’s home clash with Clyde.
The Galabank men are in the hunt for a play-off place and go into this one on a major high after winning their last five games.
In contrast, Clyde have won just one of their last six matches so a home win looks on the cards. Take Annan at 4-7 with bet365.
