SEPT 27: NORWICH v SUNDERLAND

I WARNED you it wouldn't be a super Sunday and that's how it transpired with fairly drab draws between QPR and Aston Villa and Cardiff and Leicester.

The saving grace was I tipped draws in both and there could be another stalemate in the Monday night match-up between Norwich and Sunderland.

Paul Lambert's new boys have made an OK start to life in the Premier League while Steve Bruce's overhauled Sunderland are going for two wins on the bounce after blowing away Stoke last week.

Last time the sides met in the Carling Cup in 2009 Sunderland ran out easy 4-1 winners with Norwich in League One but Lambert has overseen a remarkable change of fortunes although he's maybe brought his side up too early.

Sunderland would normally expect to win this type of game but Norwich's home record is good and although I can't seem them winning they are good enough to avoid defeat.

Betfred go a biggest 2-1 on Sunderland while Norwich are 13-8 with bet365 and the draw pays 12-5 at Betfred.

The QPR v Villa clash always looked like it would be a dour affair and although Norwich are set up for exciting games this could be another for the under 2.5 goals market at 5-6 with boylesports.

Sunderland's Niklas Bendtner hasn't scored a league in 14 appearances this year but the on-loan Arsenal man is 13-2 favourite with William Hill to bag the opener.
