THE action returns in the Scottish Football Leagues this weekend after the international break.
And after signing off with a winning treble before the enforced lay-off our lower-league man Joe Wallace has been back on the case looking to give the bookies another bashing.
Joe writes: We kick off in the Irn-Bru First Division and the clash between an improving Morton side and Ayr
Allan Moore's Cappielow men sit in joint first place and have notched up impressive victories over highly-fancied Livingston and Dundee already this season.
They also gave SPL side St Mirren a real run for their money before they lost out 4-3 in a League Cup classic.
The Greenock men won their last two clashes with the Honest Men and I am taking them to make it three in a row at 5-6 with Stan James.
We move on to the Second Division and focus on Brechin's home encounter with Forfar. Brechin go into this one three points clear of this weekend's rivals and will be looking for the win that would open up a six-point gap.
Before the international break the Glebe Park men earned a decent 2-1 away triumph at Albion Rovers and will be desperate to stay on their winning run to keep their promotion push on track.
Forfar have won only once in their last five matches so I am going for a Brechin win at 10-11 with Coral.
We finish up in the Irn-Bru Third Division and check in on Peterhead's home tie with Elgin. Head strengthened their squad over the summer and were labelled as bookies' favourites to clinch the title.
And after a shaky start to the campaign the Balmoor men finally notched up their first win of the season with a 2-0 victory at East Stirling.
Injury-hit Elgin go into this encounter six points ahead of their hosts but I am taking Head to reduce the gap to three by winning at 5-6 with Blue Square.
