ON paper Tuesday's card looks inviting but you have to be aware that many favourites will be fielding weakened teams in Capital One Cup and Communites League Cup matches.

So check latest team news if you are having a bet and don't go daft with too many selections.

In the Capital One Cup I'll be on Everton at Leeds as long as Mr Moyes is treating this live TV game seriously. His men have made a superb start to the season so a good cup run should be in his thoughts. The Toffees are a biggest 17-20 at William Hill.

The likes of Chelsea (v Wolves) and Man City (v Aston Villa) are really short considering their managers will make huge changes with Champions League football to contend with as well.

Sunderland should be backed at MK Dons if they are playing the likes of hot hitman Steven Fletcher and Swansea should win at Crawley as boss Michael Laudrup tries to arrest a recent league slump. But remember he will tinker with his line-up as will Martin O'Neill.

Of the lower-league sides I like the look of Bradford against League Two rivals Burton. They've netted 12 goals in winning their four home games and are a best 19-20 at William Hill.

Chelsea and Wolves are both altering their line-ups but the Blues' back-ups will be better than the one at Molineux so take look at the home at 1-3 with William Hill.

There were shocks galore in the last round of the League Cup in Scotland and it would be naive to think there will be no more tonight. A sixfold on the six SPL sides pays 15-2 at Betfred and many will be tempted.

But I fear for one of the top-flight sides, maybe off-form Dundee United at Queen of the South or Inverness at Stenhousemuir, who knocked out holders Kilmarnock

I've written a both teams to score article and that could be the market to look at tonight with the potential for so many shocks elsewhere.

There are some big games in Europe too and I like the look of Schalke v Mainz and Serie A leaders Juventus at Fiorentina. Bayern Munich should beatWolfsburg but are no bigger than
2-9 at William Hill.

Here are Tuesday's top tips and a repeat of last week when I tipped nine all nine homes and aways correctly for a return of more than 300-1 would be lovely. But we have to factor in the difficulty of predicting cup games and warn I'm not as confident as last week.

I have a feeling that tonight won’t throw to many upsets and fingers crossed will be straight forward … I also like the look of Chelsea over 4.5 goals and Mr Marin to score anytime on his debut … I will however be waiting until after work to put these bets on to have a gander at starting line ups

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

AC, I think it depends totally on the strength of line-ups. You’re right to wait as late as possible to have a bet.

Queen of South v Dundee Utd
    Swindon v Burnley
    Preston v Middlesbrough
    Bradford v Burton
    Macclesfield v Mansfield

    £2.50 goals galore returns £52.50

Will put a £10 coupon on later once i see the team news, odds for Swansea, Everton, Sunderland, West Ham & Hearts are all very good.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Fraser, as I said earlier check West Ham team because I read that Allarydce was making sweeping changes.

  5. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

Paul prices are correct in the shop coupon so doubt betfred will pay but if you place the bet online they should honour it.

  6. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

As long as they don’t cancel the bet before kick off they need to pay at accepted odds of 25/1. I’ve had a few bets cancelled on me before when the bookie have contacted me about the mistake at asked me if I still wanted the bet at the revised (correct) price.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Chris, will be interesting to see what happens if Watt scores then. Wanyama at 25s is best but not hugely out of line.

  7. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

For instance if the settle the bet afterwards at 9/1 after taking the 25/1 you would have a case. Instead of sticking £20 on at 25/1 you would just tell the bookie if your stake was based on the price ie if you knew the price was only 9/1 you would have stuck on £50 instead of £20.

  8. Paul 12 years ago

First time post here, great site!

Does anyone know if Bet365 have a quick/coupon method of selecting both teams to score? I’m sick of having to go through all my selections individually.

    Cheers

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Paul, I’m pretty sure they don’t. It’s something that annoys me too and why I do most of my btts betting in shops simply filling out a coupon if all the games I want are priced up there.

  9. Tommo 12 years ago

If you go through these options – Soccer – Goal/No goal -then select relevant leagues/cup games

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Tommo, that’s a bit easier. There aren’t many bookies who have a btts coupon up and they should because it’s a popular market.

  10. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

Paul I disagree. I think 25/1 is hugely out if line with the exception of Victor Chandler at 20/1. He is only 9/1 on betfred coupon.

    Price elsewhere:

    Coral 12/1
    Ladbrokes 10/1
    Boylesports 10/1
    Skybet 10/1
    William Hill 9/1
    Paddy Power 9/1

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Chris, 25-1 to 20-1 isn’t hugely out of line but obviously much bigger. 14-1 for Watt compared to 14-1 is hugely different. By the way are you sure Wanyama will start?

  11. charlie a 12 years ago

    Juventus
    Schalke
    St Mirren
    Bradford
    Everton (depending on the team)
    Swansea (draw no bet)
    Sunderland (draw no bet)

    2 quid on…. 311 quid return

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Charlie, how do you get 160-1 out of that one? What price you getting for the two draw no bets?

    • charlie a 12 years ago

must have been a typo or something wrong because i was as surprised as you….double checked and was brought back to reality with 36-1 …. probably not worth it !

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Charlie, you’ll not be complaining if it comes up.

    • charlie a 12 years ago

very true Paul… will wait to see the teams

  12. Bryan 12 years ago

    Chris,

Are you talking about Watt first scorer at 14/1 with Betfred?

They actually have him listed as KEVIN Watt.

No way will they pay out at 14/1 if Tony Watt scores.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Bryan, it’s Kevin Watt at 14s, don’t know if Chris has established whether he’s got Tony Watt or just any Watt. Watt the f***. Let’s see if the boy scores first.

  13. Bryan 12 years ago

In fact, there seems to be some confusion here. I actually made my selection through oddschecker.

When I clicked on Tony Watt through oddschecker at 14/1 the bet came up as Kevin Watt at 14/1.

If you go to the actual match on Betfred it shows there’s a Kevin Watt who plays for Raith Rovers.

    My mistake.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Bryan , there are two Watts and that’s what’s caused the bother. Could be a mistake on oddschecker.

    • Alan 12 years ago

      Hi Paul

Odds checke only watt listed is

      Tony watt at 14/1

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Alan, yeah I think that’s where the mistake’s been made.

  14. CCon 12 years ago

Taking all your away picks. Heres hoping :)

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

CCon, remember team news might scupper as both as I’ve said a few times today. On paper they should will win if they put out strong sides.

  15. Bryan 12 years ago

Yeah, it’s a mistake on oddschecker. They have Tony Watt listed at 14/1. Kevin Watt isn’t even listed.

  16. John 12 years ago

My local bookie has a coupon called “Beat The Goalie” and you just pick the games you want (up to 8 games), fixed odds so no trying to bargain unfortunately, 5 games at 12-1, i’ve looked elsewhere but this is the best price i can get

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, that’s a decent offer although sometimes it will be in your favour and other times not.

    • John 12 years ago

Would it be a good idea to get the fivefold priced up as an accumulator before going for the set odds coupon?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John definitely. Only take set odds if they are better.

  17. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

Ok just to clarify tony watt is 14/1 with betfred and 7/2 for Kevin watt. This is obviously a mix up but the prices are there. I went into the betfred shop and checked it on the screen although their coupons are correct

  18. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

Plus Wanyama is only 9/1 in the shop and 25/1 online

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Chris, now that is some difference.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

      Chris, Wanyama on the bench.

  19. sean mac 12 years ago

fancy schalke 4/7,juventus 1/1,bradford 1/1 and my surprise one is Eintracht Frankfurt 3/1 at home to borussia dortmund, they are joint top unbeaten with bayern and im wondering if hughesbet.com has made a mistake with this price what do u think?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Sean, Eintracht have a 100 per cent record but Dortmund will provide them with their hardest game yet. I fancy Dortmund or a draw so 3-1 is a fair price.

  20. James Coyle 12 years ago

Hi Paul, it’s the birthday boy here! I’m hoping Celtic and St Mirren can give me a boost financially!

I’ve bet them both on the handicaps. Celtic – 2 Goals at 7/5 with Sporting Bet and St Mirren – 1 Goal 11/8 with Ladbrokes.

Good luck with your selections mate.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

James, happy birthday. I wondered whose cake it was we’re eating in the office.

  21. AC 12 years ago

Looks like Jelavic is in the Everton squad … eases my thoughts on Everton going through against Leeds tonight … I want to see the Sunderland line up, if Fletcher is in then so is Sunderland on my slip

  22. john 12 years ago

Went with HYDE v ALFRETON, BRADFORD v BURTON, LINCOLN v NUNEATON, HEREFORD v FOREST GREEN and MACCLESFIELD v MANSFIELD

  23. AC 12 years ago

In fact on reading various bits and bobs throughout the day …. I think the big team going out the cup tonight is Swansea … just do not fancy them

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

AC, I’d agree with you if Crawley hadn’t been so poor recently. A lot depends on what side Laudrup puts out.

  24. eddy 12 years ago

i argee with all your aways their mrfixit, im gonna follow your aways but will have to take everton out as i already have them in another multiple but great picks strongly argee with them

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Eddy, they’re not great picks yet. They’re only great picks if they win.

  25. eddy 12 years ago

true, what do you think of a bet on frankfurt tonight against dortmund, very big odds for a team on fire,

  26. Peter Brown 12 years ago

    Everton
    Swindon
    Juventus
    Schalke

10 pays 100 and done 6 fold Btts good luck

20 on swansea sunderland everton southamp. 220 returns. hopefully nice lift again like last Tuesday

  28. charlie a 12 years ago

what do people think about west ham after seeing a strong line up ?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Charlie, West Ham have made nine changes from Saturday and Wigan seven so for me it’s one to leave out.

  29. Robbie 12 years ago

How do u rate the everton line up? Looks pretty strong to me

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Robbie, it’s quite strong but Leeds have just scored.

  30. Tommo 12 years ago

    Bradford BTTS single

    Crawley BTTS
    Leeds BTTS
    Preston BTTS
    Swindon BTTS

John Terry, Sylvain Distin and Charlie Mulgrew first goalscorers and anytime. Singles, doubles and a treble

    Gary Cahill single also

  31. Robbie 12 years ago

I was going to wait till around the 20 min mark to get better odds. Not sure what to do now

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Robbie, Leeds have started really well but I tipped Everton at the start and will stick with them.

  32. Gunners 12 years ago

Hi, deadly tips by the way.
But can you please explain the Perm any 4 and all 5 (6 bets)? i dont really understand this as i usually just do a normal accum but i would like to give this a try. cheers

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Gunners, it means doing fourfolds and a fivefold. Get one wrong and you have one fourfold up.

  33. John 12 years ago

I just noticed that some matches are being postponed tonight, is the weather playing havoc over there?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, must be the rain. One of the btts games have fallen at Hyde.

  34. John 12 years ago

And the one at Macclesfield, does that mean i can change my selections or wait for the match to be replayed?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, anything postponed will be voided.

    • John 12 years ago

So my fivefold has been relegated down to a treble…oh well could be worse

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, it will be treble but to a higher stake.

    • John 12 years ago

It’s not a fivefold, my mistake, it’s a fixed odds coupon where 5 matches are set at 12/1, so i don’t know if he will accept it

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, he should pay you the treble.

    • John 12 years ago

Should pay and will pay are 2 different things to my local bookie, he’s not an easy man to get money from but i’ll give it a shot in the morning

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, depends on the small print on this particular special. He might try to return your stake. If so ask him if you can run the treble on to the two games when they are rescheduled.

  35. Robbie 12 years ago

Everyone double chance (draw or win) 5/6. What do u think mate?

  36. Gunners 12 years ago

doing fourfolds and a fivefold, does that mean i would have
    to place 6 seperate stakes?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Gunners, that’s right – five fourfolds and a fivefold.

  37. Robbie 12 years ago

Sorry should read everton double chance? how r they playing?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Robbie, Leeds on top whole first half and could have scored more. I don’t think you should do any inrunning bet unless you’re watching the game. I still expect Everton to score though.

  38. Robbie 12 years ago

Thanks for the advice. Think ill keep my winnings from the shalke game until tomorrow. All the best

  39. Tony 12 years ago

Lincoln scored treble up – bts all my £ back.
    Good piks again Paul

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Tony, pity the other two were off. I had a good feeling about them all.

  40. Steve 12 years ago

Had all your both teams to score two postpone the remaining 3 came in had 4fold an 5fold £17.50 4fold £3.50 fivefold £21 bet any idea wat I’m due

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Steve, you will be paid four doubles and one treble at £4.38 a line.

  41. Tony 12 years ago

I notice nearly over 2.5 in the capital cup and conference.
I reckon mr fixit could pick accas in this market.
    Hint hint m8

  42. Tony 12 years ago

    LOL GET IN ST MIRREN.
you really do make us sweat Paul.
sporting yesterday then St Mirren today.
Another great set of midweek tips.
    Phew !!!!!!

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Tony, Bradford have done me for a couple of lines.

  43. Tony 12 years ago

    take note lads-
ALWAYS PERM YOUR BETS !!!!!!, Its Mr Fixits safety net and it will get your stakes back or even a little bit more.

  44. Tommo 12 years ago

Good night for my single on Bradford BTTS and the four-fold up too, makes a change for me!

    Also Sylvain Distin anytime 13/1

…shame it was John Terry i put on with him instead of Gary Cahill!!!

  45. eddy 12 years ago

gutted done by juvy for 100 quid usual pish

  46. Peter Brown 12 years ago

Mk dons done me for Btts! 6 out last 7 Btts 1 goal has done me! Unreal lol

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Peter, you need to perm them.

  47. Tommo 12 years ago

Decided to put my bets for tomorrow on early, fair few eye catchers…

    Lee McCulloch anytime 11/5 Coral
Ian Black anytime 7/1 William Hill

Tom Hateley anytime 8/1 Blue Square
Shaun Hutchison anytime 14/1 Paddy Power

    Man Utd BTTS
    QPR BTTS
    West Brom BTTS
    Rangers BTTS

  48. John Girvan 12 years ago

Hi Paul.. Good night for the BTTS!! Just over 100 back.. Braintree not scoring showed me exactly why you perm your bets.

    Good tips though :-)

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, perms are not for everyone but they work for me.

  49. Peter Brown 12 years ago

I don’t understand the whole perm thing Paul! Lol

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Peter, it’s simple. Google permutations and you’ll get an explanation.

  50. Willie McGuire 12 years ago

    6 team 137/1 accer

    Newport
    Swansea
    M’boro
    Sunderland
    Auxerre
    AND
Waiting on motherwell tomora. Hopefully a case of Boys v Men!!

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Willie, it’s Motherwell for me unless Rangers really step it up.

  51. Willie McGuire 12 years ago

    Paul
I was talkin to a friend who supports the rangers home and away and his words were “they’ll beat us by 2 or 3”. Fingers crossed his pessimism is spot on!!!

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Willie, everything points to a Motherwell win and any Rangers fans I know expects to be beaten. I’ll be quoting Well -1 for anyone interested in my piece going up shortly.

  52. Wurzel 12 years ago

Awrite paul no been on fur a bit but got a wee line still running the noo and am a rangers man but canny see them beatin motherwell av got motherwell at 21/10 they are now 6/4!

    Newport 6/4, sunderland 6/5, west brom 13/8

    Swansea 5/4,motherwell 21/10, a madrid 13/10

2 £8 trebles and a £2.50 accum the accum pays round about 230/1 so 3 up 3 tae go fingers X

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Wurzel, obviously you’ll be watching the Rangers game closely but keep an eye on Atletico Madrid in case you need to cover your line. Falcao is an injury doubt and they are less effective without him obviously.

  53. Danny 12 years ago

Wurzel mate thats heavy bad days betting against your own team

  54. Jonathan Grieve 12 years ago

I fancy a bit of a goal fest at Ibrox 2night. Wot do y’all think? Over 3.5 goals 15/8. I think Rangers will b going for the best form of defence is attack philosophy

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Jonathan, all Rangers home games this season in all competitions have been over 3.5 goals but Motherwell won’t give away the kind of goals the likes of East Stirling and Montrose conceded. It has a chance but it’s no cert.

  55. Wurzel 12 years ago

It is bad bud but where theres money to be won a just hink rangers defence is at dire straits the noo and the lad higdon upfront for motherwell is on top form and he might bully the gers defence

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Wurzel, I totally agree. For me it’s a Motherwell win and I’ve been saying it all week. Higdon to score first is also a decent shout and Higdon top score at any time even better.

    • Danny 12 years ago

Wurzel ano what you mean a gave my season ticket up years ago and now am lucky if setanta show a gers game once a month if it clashes with a celtic game the spl wins everytime

  56. Robert Miller 12 years ago

im in Wurzels camp here, therrs no sentiment when it comes to betting!!! the one good thing about betting for or against your own team is you know their capabilities, although it may always not pan out that way.

  57. John 12 years ago

    Help required please.
For ages now I have noticed on numerous occasions that a midweek Championship league programme throws up many draws.
In a full 12 games how many bets are incurred if you take any 4, any 5 and any 6 and how would you write out the line.
    Thanx
    John

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

John, that would be 22 bets. Simply write perm any 4, 5 and all 6 (22 bets). That is made up by one sixfold, five fourfolds and 16 fivefolds. You can stake them differently or all the same.

  58. Wurzel 12 years ago

Paul am bokin am backshift but just gonna let it go the now the treble am waitin oan west brom they are offerin me £38 to cash in buf if a wait it will be £115

But ma accum 6 team they are offerin me £27.96 if a leave it it pays £579.62 just gonna leave all 3 runnin see what happens
