SEP 20, 21: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

I USUALLY separate my English and Scottish lines but it's so difficult this week that I'm putting up one joint effort – and including games from Tuesday and Wednesday.

I'm starting with Leeds v Man United in the Carling Cup. United have been brilliant this season but seem tohave sacrificed clean sheets for that old adage “We'll score more than you”.

The likes of Dimitar Berbatov, Michael Owen and Macheda are in the squad and will be keen to show Alex Ferguson they are ready for first-team action. Leeds are one of the more entertaining sides in the division and I can see them scoring in a narrow defeat. Both teams to score pays 8-13 at Betfred.

Southampton are flying high in the Championship and have netted 19 goals in seven games. Their game with fast-improving Preston has goals written all over it. This is a biggest 4-6 at Skybet.

Cardiff are another side who promise great things in front of goal and there should be a few when they play host to Championship rivals Leicester. This pays 8-13 with William Hill and Chandler.

And finally it's up to Scotland for the League Cup clash between Motherwell and Hibs. Well were poor against St Johnstone on Saturday and boss Stuart McCall is sending out the same team to try to make amends.

Hibs are relying massively on one man, former Scotland striker Garry O'Connor, but should net if he takes his shooting boots to Fir Park. This is a biggest 4-5 with William Hill and bet365.

I don't often tip up non-league matches but if you don't want to take matches from different days take the games at Leeds and Motherwell and add instead of those at Cardiff and Southampton take the Blue Square games between Tamworth and Forest Green and Fleetwood v Kidderminster.

Southampton v Preston (Wed)

Cardiff v Leicester (Wed)

For four Tuesday games substitute those at Southampton and Cardiff for ones at Tamworth and Fleetwood.
