EUROPA LEAGUE nights have to be treated with caution but there are some decent-looking prospects.
I'm starting my treble with a side who could claim to be Europe's form team at the moment. Standard Liege have won 13 out of 13 games, including six European ties, and that momentum can continue when they tackle Esbjerg at home.
There is a difference in quality between the Belgian and Danish leagues for starters but no one would fancy facing Standard in the form they're in. Esbjerg haven't won domestically in four games but deserve a bit of respect after beating St Etienne home and away in the play-off round.
However, for me Standard have to be the first team on any accer tonight and they are 4-9 with Titanbet.
I could have put in Fiorentina at home to Pacos, Lazio against Legia Warsaw in Rome or Red Bull at home to Elfsborg but I'm going for a bigger-priced treble and adding Sevilla at Estoril.
It's widely know Estoril lost four of their best players and manager after a superb season in which they qualified for Europe. They've made an OK start to the league with seven points from four games but weren't tested by Austrian amateurs Pasching as they reached the Europa League.
A meeting with Sevilla sees them take on a side fancied to go far and who should win Group H in style. Sevilla always take this tournament seriously and beat Slask Wroclaw 9-1 on aggregate.
They looked good in losing 3-2 to a late goal in Barcelona at the weekend and have the class to win in Portugal. They are 17-20 at Titanbet.
My third pick was a toss-up between Eintracht Frankfurt and Real Betis and I've gone for the Spaniards after seeing them dismantle Valencia at home at the weekend.
It was a poor display from Valencia but Betis are a class act and strong at home – they battered Jablonec 6-0 in the last round – and I love the fact they have a midfielder called Salva Sevilla in their ranks.
That would be an interesting one to write on a betting slip – Sevilla and Sevilla to score double!
Anyway the likes of Salva, who hit a double against Valencia, can help see off a Lyon side who don't rank with the greats of the past.
Betis have never met Lyon in European but have won three games against French opposition – Monaco, Auxerre and Bordeaux – on home turf.
Lyon are still smarting after Real Sociedad edged a two-legged play-off to reach the Champions League group stages and domestically their form has suffered with defeats to Evian and Reims and a 0-0 draw at home to Rennes at the weekend.
Coach Remi Garde still has quality at his disposal and is set to start with Bafetimbi Gomis alongside Jimmy Briand in attack but striker Alexandre Lacazette is also pushing to be involved. But for me Betis look worth taking at 3-4 with Titanbet.

On your treble as a trixie mr f. New to trixies, what affects whether you would go for trixie or plain treble?
Conor, the price will make me choose whether it’s a treble or Trixie. You’re doing four bets in a Trixie so for me I’d want all the selections to be nearer evens but if you can make sure one wrong at least returns your total stake.
Can’t seem to narrow it down from a sixfold of Frankfurt, Fiorentina, Standard Liege, Zulte Waregem, Tottenham and Lazio!
Blewie, Spurs and Standard Liege have got to be the safest of those then Fiorentina and Lazio as long as they’re putting out strong sides. Lazio usually do for this tournament. What about Red Bull?

adewumi, I’d pick Sheriff but you must have your reasons for Anzhi. The Russians look in awful form to me and have lost many players and their rich backer.

Good afternoon Mr F, I decided against betting tonight cos I always find europa league a bit of a minefield. So no shortlist from me tonight. But then as always loving the top tips from you again and I couldnt resist having a little flutter on your treble.
I an outside gamble on swansea did stand out to me… I think they could be in with a chance tonight if they play well, Laudrup has experience of spain and playing away at valencia during his time as manager at getafe and mallorca. So does a lot of his team that are spanish or came from spain to england. Valencia well…. they havent looked very convincing at all this season and I dont believe postiga is a decent replacement for soldado either. Swansea win at 4/1 or double chance 11/10….
