BOOKIES have written off Celtic to qualify for the last 16 but have been forced to cut them for tonight's trip to the San Siro.
The Hoops are in a seriously tough section with AC Milan, Barcelona and Ajax and McBookie.com rate them 10-1 chances to emulate last season's feat and come through.
I have my doubts but if they can get off to a good start and Barca beat everyone then second place should be a free-for-all between the other sides.
Celtic have been cut to 13-2 with Scots firm McBookie.com who have pushed Milan out to an industry-best 8-15 with William Hill.
It's admiral of fans to show faith in their side but even without the likes of Kaka, skipper Riccardo Montilivo and striker Stephan El Shaarawy, the Italians are still a class act.
Celtic's displays away from have been improving but they lacked a cutting edge on the road in the qualifiers, failing to score at Elfsborg and Shakhter Karagandy.
Anthony Stokes is starting to fill the boots of Gary Hooper but this is a step up from scoring against the likes of Hearts. I reckon Celtic will go close but I'm looking at Milan to win 1-0 or 2-1.
Remember they still have talisman Mario Balotelli in their ranks and he is 9-2 at Paddy Power and William Hill to hit the opener.
But the man Neil Lennon could fear most is Alessandro Matri who score for Juventus against Celtic in both legs of their last-16 clash last season before a big-money move to the San Siro. He is 11-2 at Paddy Power and William Hill.
To score Balotelli is 7-5 with BetVictor but I like Matri at 15-8 with Paddy Power.
Milan have only scored more than one goal once in eight meetings with the Glasgow club and are 21-10 with Hills to hit exactly one while Celtic are 5-6 at McBookie.com just to score.
Stokes is shortest-priced Celtic to net at anytime at 4-1 with Betfred while Kris Commons is 6-1 with the same firm and Georgios Samaras 22-5 at McBookie.
Recommended Bets
Milan to win by one
(13-5, Ladbrokes)
Matri to score
(15-8, Paddy Power)
Schalke look pretty good. Huntelaar fgs and -1 has decent odds.

Paul ano it’s a big ask but a fancy all eight cl games for over 2.5 the night any idea what hills would pay for that
Tony not sure whatn hills are paying but its avout 75/1 on skybet for all games to be over 2.5 goals
Over 2.5 on all 8 CL games is currently 70/1 @ William Hill
Tony. William hill will give you 710 quid to off a tenner where as Bet Victor will give u 950 quid!!
Cheers guys it’s amazing the price difference when u shop around. A only bet in shop. Never online.
Celtic are terrible away, Milan -1 11/8 for me
with the u19 losing 3-1 to AC Milan I can see another defeat for the big team 1 or 2 to nil my bets tonight,
