IT was a pretty exciting day in the Premier League and an awful one of the thousands of people who put Celtic or Rangers in their accumulators.

Today's English top-flight encounter is tough to call and I'm looking at a draw between Reading and Spurs at 5-2 with bet365.

Andre Villas-Boas is yet to pick up his first victory as Tottenham boss and might have to wait a touch longer for what looks a tough visit to the Royals.

Spurs’ last two matches have finished 1-1 and that scoreline pays 6-1 at Ladbrokes.

In Spain best bets are Atletico Madrid but they are no bigger than 2-5 with Ladbrokes and Stan James at home to Rayo Vallecano. So best bet again will be Colombian hitman Falcao who has been on a great run recently and netted again for Colombia in Chile last weekend. He is 5-2 at Betfred and Coral to score first but just 4-6 at Coral to net at any time.

Roma have started Serie A well and should take care of Bologna at home but again they are pretty short at 4-9 with the likes of Paddy Power, William Hill and Ladbrokes.

Complete a treble with Juventus who have started Serie A the way they finished the last campaign. Juve were unbeaten the whole of last season and have resumed with big wins against Udinese and Parma. They are unbeaten in five trips to Genoa and should pick up the points.

For my Super Single I'm taking a chance of Pescara who won Serie B at a canter last season, beating Sampdoria twice along the way. Pescara have lost their two openers 3-0 but can return to form here. Samp have made a fine start but Pescara were better than them last season and can edge this one. Their contrasting starts to the season are reflected by the fact the home men are as big as 19-10 at BetVictor.

I'm not going into too much reasoning on the both teams to score lines but the matches I've picked on the whole have produced goals in the past.

For example the last five between Roma and Bologna and the previous six featuring Eintracht Frankfurt and Hamburg. Nancy had a good record against top teams last season and have netted in five of their last six against high-flying Marseille.

Five of the last six between Utrecht and PSV have seen both score and PSV have netted 29 in their last six games, including nine against Zeta in the Europa League.

As I'm tipping a 1-1 draw between Reading and Spurs the Premier League encounter completes the line-up.

    Hi Paul,

Would you be able to chase up admin for me about the £10 Betway free bet I won.

Was just a bit concerned because I contacted Betway and they said they were not aware of this promotion or competition. My Username is Ryan_119.

    Cheers Buddy.

      Hi Ryan,

We’re on it. Sometimes it can take up to 28 days for free bets to be credited.

You sent your username on Thursday evening, we forwarded it to them on Friday, since then I don’t think they’ll have been in the office over the weekend. Hopefully should be in your account some time next week. The free bet has been organised by the marketing team at Betway so it’s unlikely that customer service will know about it.

      Cheers, Admin.

Ryan, I know admin have replied to you but for you and anyone else we don’t do any promos or contests that are not real. Otherwise we’d be giving them publicity for nothing and wasting our own time. If you have a problem with any prize speak to us unless we give you a contact at a bookies to deal with. It’s no surprise whoever you went to at Betway off your own back hadn’t heard of the deal. When you are dealing with big companies you have to speak to the right person and not someone at random. I can assure you we have a deal with Betway and you’ll get sorted out.

Yeah Paul I live chatted them on their website to ask the question because I thought they were draggin their heels and I made the effort to open an account and give them business. Its cool no biggy. Im sure it’ll appear soon.

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Ryan, it will be appear soon and don’t worry. The £10 free bet prizes are popular and I think people look at it as a risk-free way of trying to win a bigger amount.

Paul, I signed up to beltway and downloaded their iPad app can’t seem to put on an acca? Am I doing something wrong?

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Steven, I’ll ask admin if they are aware of any problems but of course you should be able to do accumulators.

    Mr Chris Guy

To a hard working family man (unlike yourself) a £10 bet is a pretty good stake. Unlike these phantom bets you place!

At the end of the day mate! A Tenners a Tenner!

Probably more than you’ve got back with your fictitious bets over the last few weeks.

I can claimive won also after a game has played!!!!!

  7. Steven duncan 12 years ago

Paul I spoke to them can do singles only on app!!! Crazy.

  8. Ryan Brown 12 years ago

Chris I’m aware its “Only” a tenner but its still a nice little extra to have. My stakes are normally a lot bigger than that but its not a competition of who’s bigger than who’s. If you can afford to fling crazy money about that’s fine but just be careful and don’t live beyond your means. This game can turn your world upside down when you lose the head. We have all been there.

    Everton v Newcastle

Everton will look to return to winning ways when they meet Newcastle . The Toffees lost for the first time in 12 matches after falling to West Brom recently. The 2-0 loss came off the back of goals in the 65th and 82nd minutes. Everton’s best chances came in the first half but were sprayed wide by Marouane Fellaini. It was a vastly different Everton side to the one that registered wins against Manchester Utd and Aston Villa in the first two games.

Newcastle followed there win and loss in rounds one and two with a draw against Aston Villa recently. The match ended with one goal apiece after the Magpies equalised Villa’s first half goal in the 59th minute. Both teams had their moments of good possession and the draw was a fair result. Newcastle could have lost the match outright in the dying stages but some late Villa goal attempts were well off the mark.

    Head to Head:
4 games – Everton 2 wins, Newcastle Utd 2 wins and 0 draws
(Premier League games from season 09/10)

Everton were unable to bring up a hat-trick of wins recently in their clash against West Brom, while Newcastle were surprising held to a draw by Aston Villa. With this being played at Goodison Park the leaning is towards Everton.

    Suggested Bets:
    – Everton
    – Under 2.5 Goals

    • Mr Fixit 12 years ago

Danny, good effort. If you’re right they’ll be clamouring for you to replace me. I’m looking at the game now and agree with you on Everton although hoping for some goals as I watch tonight.

  11. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

Ryan I understand that but it’s not as though it was £10 cash, it was a free bet but and you will get it. Anyway I apologise to yourself and hope when you eventually get the £10 you get lucky and can turn it into something bigger. Good luck mate.

    • Ryan Brown 12 years ago

No problem Chris it just seemed like you were being a bit cheeky. Its cool. Im always confident of turning it into something bigger, football is my bag! I rarely go with long accumulators I tend to big hit trebles with 1/4 shots etc and I study league tables all over the world to find my picks.

      Heres todays present:

      Besiktas and Everton Double!

  12. Mr Chris Guy 12 years ago

Andrew, Andrew, deary me. Some rent there huh. I don’t need to explain myself to anyone like yourself but think I will on this ocassion.

    1) I am a hard working family man with a wife and 2 children.

    2) I am no millionaire but I do earn a decent salary.

    3) I dont place so called phantom bets, maybe you just think this due to the stakes. I’ve already had the idiocy of people accusing me of making up random bets in the past. I proved the doubters wrong when I emailed the betting slips to Paul (very sad that I need to do something like this).

    4) I win lots of money and I lose lots of money FACT.

You don’t know anything about me Andrew. If you would like to ask anymore question a out my life, career, financial situation or sex life then please feel free to ask. No question is a stupid question.
