JACK WILSHERE will hope to steal some of the thunder from the Manchester derby by shining on his Bournemouth debut.
Premier League clubs splashed out a hideous £1billion in the transfer window but one of the best pieces of business could be a free.
An hour or so after hostilities are ended at Old Trafford Wilshere will attempt to prove Arsene Wenger was long to banish him to the south coast on loan.
Bournemouth have looked a little lost this season but with the guidance of boss Eddie Howe, tipped to be Arsene Wenger's eventual successor at the Emirates, Wilshere can be Bourne again.
He's not a prolific scorer – just six in more than 100 games for the Gunners – which is why he is 18-1 at bet365 to score first. But he can inspire his new club to a win and they are 21-20 with Paddy Power to get it.
A more likely first scorer is Callum Wilson who is 11-2 at Coral while Joshua King is 6-1 at Ladbrokes.
So what of the big one at lunchtime? It's a tough call and I was going to back United to beat City who are missing Sergio Aguero.
But stats suggest the Argentine won't be a massive rate as City's win more points on average without him (2.17) than when he does play (2). That's a surprise as is Jose's record against Pep – just three wins in 16.
I can't pick a winner so will side with the draw at 40-17 with 888sport. United are 11-8 favourites with McBookie and Ladbrokes while City are a best 5-2 at bet365.
Guardiola could go with Nolito up top or take a chance on young Kelechi Iheanacho while United will look for another big display from Zlatan Ibrahimovic who is 11-2 at Coral to hit the opener and that will be a popular punt.
It's a tough top-flight card with champions Leicester heading to Liverpool and this could be another draw.
However, Liverpool were one of just two sides to beat the Foxes in the league last season (Arsenal were the other) and will have backers at 4-6 with bet365.
There could be a few draws today – Burnley-Hull, Boro-Palace, Stoke-Spurs … there are no easy calls there.
Everton could make former boss Davie Moyes suffer at Sunderland and are 11-10 with Betfred but Arsenal should take care of Southampton at home and are 7-12 with 888sport.
