PARTICK THISTLE have fired themselves back into contention for the Championship title but face the acid test of their revival in Dundee today.

A horror run of six defeats in a row in all competitions during the autumn threatened to ruin Thistle’s season but the response has been impressive.

The Jags have lost just once in their last seven games and claimed a huge 2-1 win over high-flying Morton last weekend.

Ian McCall’s men won 3-2 at Dens on the opening day of the Championship so will fancy their chances today.

Dundee looked to be justifying their status as title favourites during a run of nine games without a defeat.

But they lost 4-2 at home to Arbroath to kick off 2023 then followed it up with a 1-1 draw at Raith.

All the stats suggest goals today with BTTS just 8/13 at McBookie and over 2.5 strikes at 7/10.

The scorer markets offer better value with Dundee’s Paul McMullan at 7/2 (Paddy Power) and Brian Graham 9/4 (William Hill) to net for Thistle.

Queen’s Park have opened up a four-point lead thanks to six wins in a row.

They lost to Raith in the Challenge Cup in midweek but rested most of their big hitters for that game.

Owen Coyle will field his strongest side in Inverness today and the Spiders look overpriced at 11/8 (Betway).

But going for goals looks a safer option with over 1.5 first-half strikes the best value at 33/20 (Coral).

Second-placed Ayr ground out a 1-0 win over Hamilton last week and now host another struggling side in Arbroath.

Deadly Dipo Akinyemi has drawn blanks in his last two outings so is due a goal and McBookie price him at 11/8 for anytime scorer.

Hamilton got a timely boost with a cup win over Clyde in midweek but face a tough game at home to Morton today.

SBK price over 1.5 Ton goals at 33/10 and that looks good value.

Paul Hartley’s Cove reign got off to a dreadful start last week as they shipped six against Queen’s.

He’ll demand a response at home to Raith and over 2.5 goals seems the best option at 19/20 with Bet365.

There’s a top v bottom clash in League One as Dunfermline face Peterhead.

The Blue Toon have shipped three or more goals in four of their last five games and over 2.5 Pars strikes is 11/10 at Unibet.

League Two also has a potential mismatch as rock-bottom Bonnyrigg host second-place Stirling.

Dale Carrick has done me a turn a few times this season and the Binos ace is 11/10 at McBookie to add to his tally of 17 goals.

Super singles: Over 1.5 first-half goals in Inverness 33/20 (Coral), Akinyemi to score (11/8, McBookie), Over 2.5 Pars goals (11/10, Unibet). Carrick to score (11/10, McBookie).
McBookie bet builder: Combining BTTS with over 2.5 goals at Dens Park pays just under evens.
