CELTIC are back at their swashbuckling best and heading to the top of the Premiership.

Hearts have been keeping the champs' seat warm but a win for Brendan Rodgers's side today will move them to within a point having played one game fewer.

It's taken time for Celtic to get going but that's 18 goals in four domestic games including last week's 3-0 Betfred Cup semi-final success against the Jambos.

Steven Naismith's early injury contributed greatly to the result and the Scotland star will be missing again today as well as fellow hitman Uche Ikpeaku.

Steven MacLean will return after missing the 0-0 draw with Hibs after accepting a ban for grabbing Eboue Kouassi where it hurts most. MacLean and Hearts will receive a warm welcome and I can't see past Celtic at 3-10 with bet365.

In midweek I tipped them -2 and -2 Asian at Dundee and the -1 can land again after hitting 16 past Hearts in five previous Parkhead encounters.

Minus one pays 4-5 at Betfred while -2 is a big price at 12-5 with betfair and could be played for small stakes.

Rangers slipped up against Killie in midweek and have to return to winning ways at St Mirren. The Buddies have lost six in a row under Oran Kearney and look in dire straits.

Steven Gerrard's men are extremely short at 3-10 with Coral so again I'd look at the -1 and -2 handicaps at 17-20 with Ladbrokes and 5-2 at Paddy Power respectively. A Celtic -1 and Rangers -1 double tempts at 12-5 with betfair.

I tipped Alfredo Morelos to score first against Killie and to net in a treble that won at 26-5. Back him again at 15-4 with bet365.

Elsewhere Motherwell look a good shout at 4-5 with Sky Bet at home to a Dundee side whose record under Jim McIntyre reads played three, lost three, for none, against 12.

Well bagged a confidence-boosting first win in six at St Mirren on Wednesday and can follow up with another three points.

Midweek results in the Championship saw Ayr return to the top as Ross County were held at Falkirk.

It's Ayr's turn to travel to face the Bairns today and they should win at 3-4 with Marathonbet.

Falkirk remain bottom with four points but holding County was an improvement but it's asking a lot for them to reproduce that display against the leaders.

Game of the day is ICT v Ross County and the Highland derby has every chance of finishing all square. Unbeaten Inverness have drawn their last six games – eight in total – and of the last eight meetings between the sides in Inverness three have been all square and four won by one goal.

The draw pays 9-4 at William Hill and I'm also on under 2.5 goals at 4-5 with Marathonbet.

Dundee United are unbeaten since Robbie Neilson took over with two wins and a draw and they can edge out Queen of the South at home. United are evens at Marathonbet.

In League One Jim Duffy worked his magic on his Dumbarton dugout debut to beat East Fife and can follow up with victory at Montrose. The Sons are 7-4 at McBookie.

Leaders Edinburgh could be best bets in League Two at home to Clyde at 29-20 with Marathonbet. City have kept six clean sheets in seven while Clyde have lost two in a row.

I also like Queen's Park – four wins on the spin – at 6-4 with McBookie at home to Annan.

Rock-bottom Albion Rovers face a tough assignment at Peterhead who should win by at least two. Peterhead -1 pays 1-2 at bet365 and is fine on accas.
