LAST week I told you how the Scottish Second Division was averaging a best in Britain 4.1 goals a game – and there's been no change after 21 in last week's five matches.
One of my two selections didn't trap, however, as Airdrie beat Albion Rovers 4-0. Sod's Law so they say.
Airdrie now head for Arbroath, whose last six games have featured an amazing 32 goals, 17 for and 15 against.
I reckon the home side will win but it's a fixture that should see goals galore. Both teams to score pays 4-9 with Paddy Power and Skybet.
My second game from Division Two is Dumbarton v Cowdenbeath. The Sons' last four matches have totalled 25 goals – 3-4, 6-0, 3-3 and 1-5. Inconsistent maybe but certainly interesting.
Beath, whose last six have tallied 29 goals, will fancy three points but will surely need more than one goal to beat their prolific hosts. This pays 2-5 at Skybet
Another side who let me down last week were Queen of the South who beat Hamilton at home and kept a clean sheet. Now they welcome leaders Morton and I can't see them shutting out a side who battered four past Ayr last weekend.
Queens have netted in five of their last six and Morton in all six. Both teams to score pays 4-5 at Skybet.
Finally complete the fourfold with Berwick v Peterhead. It's been an incredibly poor start for pre-season title favourites Head who have lost five of their last six.
They have, however, scored in their previous five games so it's defence where there problems lie. That will suit a Berwick side who have hit the target in five of their last six. This one pays 4-9 with William Hill, Paddy Power and Skybet.
Both teams to score
Arbroath v Airdrie
Dumbarton v Cowdenbeath
Queen of the South v Morton
Berwick v Peterhead
