OUTSIDE the SPL the match of the day is Ross County v Dundee – and there could be plenty of goals at Victoria Park.
First Division leaders County have carved out an eight-point lead at the top thanks to six wins in a row.
They have netted 14 goals in four games and at this stage of the season are looking good for promotion. Dundee are up to second after six wins in a row of their own and have hit the target 16 times in the last five matches without keeping a clean sheet.
This fixtures doesn't always see both teams score – four out of the last eight times – but I think it will on Saturday.
Next it's back to Airdrie who entertain Brechin. I've picked Airdrie games the last few weeks and will continue to do so until they let me down.
Their last seven games have featured 42 goals although there were just two last week as they drew 1-1 at Stenhousemuir. Visitors Brechin held Arbroath 1-1 away and should be able to breach the Diamonds defence.
In Division Two I also like the look of East Fife v Albion Rovers. The Fifers have netted eight in three while Rovers' last six have witnessed 31 goals. However, this game is subject to an 11am Saturday pitch inspection.
Down in Division Three I was on Elgin v Annan but the game is now off due to be a frozen pitch. Dumbarton v Stenny has also been postponed and others are likely to fall so check before you bet.
Anyway instead of Elgin v Annan I'm going with Montrose v Queen's Park. Montrose's last six have featured both teams to score with a total of 28 goals. Four of Queen's last five have saw both sides net and they'll be in good heart having disposed of Clyde 3-0 in midweek.
I'm completing the fivefold with Kilmarnock v Dundee Utd in the SPL. United looked good on the break last week as they recovered from 2-0 down to win 3-2 at Inverness and they have plenty of goalscorers in their squad.
Killie are unbeaten since losing 6-3 at home to Inverness a few weeks ago. They have beaten Aberdeen and Rangers at home without conceding but the clash with United should be an open affair and I can see plenty of goals.
The four meetings between the sides have saw both score including a 4-4 draw.
