SCOTLAND: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE

SCOTTISH CUP games dominate the card this weekend but that might be no bad thing.

We have SPL matches and the William Hill-sponsored tournament to choose from and I'll focus on the latter.

There are some mismatches in the Cup but with goals galore your bet is up whether it's 1-1, 2-1 or 8-1 and it's something to remember.

One of those games where the favourite should win by a few is Morton v Deveronvale but I'm expecting plenty of goals.

First Division Morton are a biggest 2-9 with the likes of William Hill and Ladbrokes to win but will be missing up to 10 players including two keepers.

They should still be strong enough to beat a Highland League side at home but Vale have netted 18 in six so will fancy at least grabbing a goal from their long trek to Greenock so it looks primed for both to score.

Another non-league side who could make a game of it are Gala Fairydean who travel to Airdrie. Gala will have noticed Airdrie have conceded 11 in their last two games – 7-2 v Albion Rovers and 4-4 v Forfar.

Gala, on the other hand, at a much lower level have slammed in 21 goals in six games, including last week's 6-5 win at Eyemouth United. In the Cup they've beaten Golspie 5-2 and Hawick RA 8-1 so know the way to goal.

My third choice is Stranraer v Forfar. Both sides drew 4-4 in the league last week so need I say more. Stranraer hit nine in the last round against Wigtown and there should be plenty more goals at Stair Park.

Next it's a clash between Second Division rivals Brechin and Dumbarton. Their last two games have featured 12 goals, nine of them for Brechin, but Dumbarton have improved in recent weeks losing just one in five and that was 4-3 at Arbroath.

The Scottish Cup fourfold pays £101.90 to a £10 stake at Chandler but you could boost that to £170.10 if you added the early SPL game between Inverness and Celtic.

Both ICT's top-flight wins against the Hoops have been by 3-2 and they hit six at Kilmarnock on their last outing. Celtic have beaten Motherwell and Rennes since being held 0-0 by Hibs and will be desperate for the points as they try not to lose more ground on Rangers.
