HJK Helsinki to Score 2+
HJK Helsinki will look to keep the pressure on league leaders KuPS, as they play host to fourth-placed Oulu at the Bolt Arena.
Toni Koskela’s side dropped points for just the third time this season last time out, as they drew 0-0 away to KuPS to remain behind the table-toppers on goal difference.
Oulu bounced back from their 0-3 defeat at home to KuPS, by recording back-to-back wins away to Lahti and at home to SJK.
HJK have won each of their last three at home, scoring nine times and I’m backing the reigning champions to add a couple more to that against an Oulu side that’s conceded on multiple occasions in 3/4 of their away matches.
Sarpsborg vs Strømsgodset – Both Teams to Score
Strømsgodset will look to go within one point of third-placed Viking, as they travel to the Sarpsborg Stadion to take on Sarpsborg.
Strømsgodset come into this match unbeaten in each of their last six Eliteserien matches, whilst Stefan Billborn’s hosts emphatically put an end to their three-match losing streak, winning 0-5 away to Jerv.
Sarpsborg have found the back of the net in 7/9 of their league fixtures this season, only failing to score away to Lillestrøm (1st) and at home to Viking (3rd).
Godset have found the back of the net 11 times in their last four matches and given the hosts have recorded just two clean sheets this season, there’s every chance we’ll see both sides score in this one.
Bodø/Glimt to Score 2+
Bodø/Glimt will look to climb the Eliteserien table, as they take on bottom side Kristiansund at the Kristiansund Stadion.
Kjetil Knutsen’s visitors lost 3-1 away to Molde last time out, meaning they come into this fixture having won just one of their last six matches in the league.
Things have been even worse for Kristiansund, with Christian Michelsen’s side having lost six of their seven Eliteserien matches, with their sole point coming at home to newly promoted HamKam.
Bodø have already won 1-4 and 1-2 away to fellow strugglers Haugesund (14th) and Sandefjord (13th) respectively and given they’ve yet to record a clean sheet this season, they may need to at least twice to secure all three points.
Seattle Sounders vs LAFC – Over 2.5 Goals
Western Conference leaders LAFC travel to Lumen Field on Saturday evening to take on a resurgent Seattle Sounders in what promises to be an entertaining affair.
After winning just two of their opening eight MLS matches, Brian Schmetzer’s Sounders side come into this winning four of their last five, including each of their last three in front of their own supporters.
After going three matches without a win, including successive defeats against Colorado Rapids and Austin, Steve Cherundolo’s side bounced back with back-to-back victories over the Columbus Crew and SJ Earthquakes to put them four points clear at the top of the Western Conference.
LAFC (29) are the highest scoring side in the MLS and given The Sounders have scored nine goals in their last three at home, there’s every chance we’ll see at least three strikes between these two attack-minded sides.
