Saturdays top tips

Manchester City's remarkable slump shows no sign of stopping and they face another tough game today on the road at Aston Villa.

Even when Pep Guardiola's side were in much better shape last term they lost at Villa Park so it's hard to make a case for them in the midst of a run that has seen them win just once in 12 games.

Losing two late goals in the derby last weekend summed up how vulnerable City are and Villa certainly have the firepower to cause them a few problems.

Unai Emery's men ended their nine-game run without a victory by racking up three successive wins but head into this game off the back of their own painful late loss to Nottingham Forest last time out.

Aston Villa vs Manchester City top betting tips

I'm surprised to see Aston Villa as big as 11/5 with BoyleSports and that looks a bit of value with the champions in such dreadful form. You can even get Emery's side at 8/11 in the double chance, while backing them to score first pays 6/5.

I'd imagine Emery will look to overpower a City midfield that has looked powder puff of late. Amadou Onana could start and the big Belgian is 2/1 with BoyleSports to be booked while Bet365 price him at 11/10 to commit over 1.5 fouls.

Aston Villa won the corner count in both meetings last term so there could be some value in backing them at +0.5 in the corner handicap here, which pays 21/20 at BoyleSports.

Crystal Palace vs Arsenal top betting tips

The late game in the Premier League tonight sees Crystal Palace and Arsenal renew hostilities just a few days after their EFL Cup clash at the Emirates.

The Gunners won 3-2 in that quarter-final tie but I've a feeling tonight's match will be more cagey with precious points up for grabs.

Arsenal can't really afford many more dropped points if they're to get back into the title race and BoyleSports make them 4/9 favourites. I'm going to combine a Gunners win with under four goals, which pays 23/20 at Bet365.

Palace will look to hit on the break and the pace off in-form Ismaila Sarr could cause them a few problems. The winger is 5/4 at BoyleSports just to have an effort on target and that looks decent value.

Jefferson Lerma should be at the heart of the midfield battle and I also like the 6/5 available with the same firm for him to make over 1.5 tackles.

Rangers vs Dundee top betting tips

Rangers are back in action for the first time since their crushing shoot-out loss to Celtic and it will be interesting to see how they respond when Dundee come calling in the SPFL Premiership.

Although Philippe Clement's side lost that League Cup Final it was another promising display and they should have too much firepower for the Dark Blues at Ibrox.

Vaclav Cerny has probably been their most consistent forward this season and the Czech winger is 11/8 for anytime scorer with BoyleSports.

Tony Docherty always sets his Dundee side up to have a go so we should see plenty of goals and over 3.5 strikes looks good at evens.

Leeds United vs Oxford United top betting tips

New Oxford United boss Gary Rowett has a baptism of fire today as he takes his side to Elland Road to face title favourites Leeds United.

Des Buckingham was sacked after a slump that saw the Us drop to within a point of the drop zone so Rowett has his work cut out trying to get their season back on track.

He's a safe pair of hands in the EFL Championship but BoyleSports make Leeds 2/13 hot favourites to condemn Rowett to a debut defeat.

Leeds have won their last eight at home, scoring at least twice each time, so a home win with over 3.5 goals might be the shout at evens with BoyleSports.

If Rowett sets up to frustrate it could see the corner count rack up so I also like over 8.5 Leeds flag kicks at the same price.

Saturday's Super Singles

  • Amadou Onana over 1.5 fouls 11/10 BoyleSports
  • Jefferson Lerma over 1.5 tackles 6/5 BoyleSports
  • Over 3.5 goals at Ibrox Evens BoyleSports

Deadly double

  • Rangers -1 and Leeds -1 handicap 121/100 BoyleSports
